Not had your first sale yet?
There seems to be many questions about how long it will take to obtain your first sale from your website. Well, just for the record, I have had my first sale from my site and I'm just about to renew my subscription to WA which means I've been posting for nearly a year now. I had actually given up looking at my clicks and possible sales as I thought it would probably not happen, being that my site is a bit specialised and some may think perhaps a little boring or heavy going.
Today, just to see how many clicks I'd got, 3 sales have been registered for August! This was such a surprise, so much so, that I went out and bought a bottle of wine which cost about the amount of my commission!
Just so you know how prolific I am with writing my articles, I've published 60 posts to date, with another 20 plus which I'm researching at the moment, but not yet published. I publish on average about 1 a week. Not much I know but they do take a lot of time and research. I suppose I spend on average around 5 hours a day on my website, 7 days a week.
It just shows that it is hard work and you have to be consistent. I feel if I produced any more than 1 post a week, I could not be so thorough and perhaps the quality could suffer. But that is just for my type of niche.
For those who are getting dispondent, you can see from my experience, you must stick at it. Depending on your niche, you may be able to produce many more posts than me and I'm sure, if that's the case and as long as your posts are interesting, topical and demonstrates your knowledge and sincerity of your subject, you will be reaping rewards much quicker than myself.
So for those that are thinking of throwing in the towel, don't do it. Keep trying and keep learning about your subject. You will prevail if you are consistent. Always think of how you can please, inform, entertain and/or help your readers. Once your sincerity and knowledge comes through, they will know that you are passionate about your subject and anything you advertise on your site is trusted by you and therefore can be trusted by them.
Good luck to all those yet to enjoy the experience of their first sale! He's a toast to you!

Hello Chessie
Just checked out your site on magnesium. You have some amazing info there! Glad you have made some sales, and all the best with making a lot more as you move forward. I must admit quite a bit of it was beyond me - you seem to have a lot of technical knowledge.
I will mention magnesium as a necessary component of good health on my alternative health site - when I actually get a site up! - and it was wonderful to find someone else who acknowledges the toxic load we place on our bodies and the way this depletes our bodies of nutrients.
Regards, Leah
Hi there Leah. I am continually having difficulty picking up my WA emails on my iMac due to duff Apple Mail software. Your message is one that got away and low and behold, I've just found it, would you believe, after 4 months!!
I sincerely hope you're getting along well with your alternative health site. Getting the truth out there about nutrition versus drugs is a hard slog but the more of us who try and spread the word, the more lives that will be improved and/or saved. Keep at it!
