In the face of adversity
Want to share a quick story and a lesson I learnt along the way during a tough mental and emotional situation which happened today that made me realised that in the face of adversity we must 'fight' the need to feel sorry for ourselves, and delve deeper into our doubts, fears and insecurity and worries to learn that 'Life is whatever we make it'.
Fight we must to keep and maintain our right level of thinking and mind-set; which can easily and quickly be affected by outside forces if not disciplined.
So the story involves my other businesses outside of WA which I have been running for a couple of weeks now and on the mission to learn and work on it so that I can proudly highlight my journey since joining.
A friend whom I had known for over a decade, who has been in the entrepreneurship business for a very long time showed their level of support and loyalty for my business when consoling me in regards to couple of events I am planning in London. As the conversation became more belittling, condensing and lacked any positivity, it allowed me to take stoke of my circle of influence and support. I learnt that no matter how long you know someone or had the assumptions that since the support was there for them that naturally they will be willing, positive and understanding but yes, unless the tribe and community who will help push you and encourage, is not fully set up, the tendencies to fall to their level is so easy and straightforward.
I realised that in order to truly know and see our worth, we must know that the life we live can only be lived by us and only us and listening and following someone’s dreams and vision is a perfect recipe for adversity and disaster..... So wake up, stand up and know and appreciate your true worth and value.

Yep -- we possess everything needed to be ourselves, and to live our life on our own. We need to realize our own true value, and have faith in ourselves. It is important that we work on our self-esteem, so it helps us through the rough times.
Thanks for writing this post.
Hi Cynthia,
Great post and thank you for sharing. It is in being true to ourselves that we can be true to others.
Best wishes,
Michael
Yes absolutely agree Derek; it's never pleasant but most definitely needed to grow and become the best version of ourselves.
Well said and totally agree.
We have to be true to who we and not having to live up to others' expectations.
Thanks for sharing and all the best.
Darren :)
Thank you Darren and yes, when we realise that power; we become unstoppable and we operate fully in love.
