Gaining Traffic and Top 2000 WA Ranking
I just wanted to take a minute and share some more recent success for my blog.
I got excited the other day when I saw one of my posts on the first page of google but came back to earth when one of my followers informed me that it was because I was logged into Google + and that is why it was showing up in my search. A little bit of a bummer but no biggie and I appreciated him informing me so at least I know now.
With that said, I have been doing a little bit of Pinterest training and what I have been learning has helped me gain some traffic. Last month(my first month I had 72 total Pageviews on my blog and so far this month I have already gone past that (It's only the 9th of the month currently).
I'm still trying to keyword my posts appropriately with the "low hanging fruit" method but what I'm finding is that it's kind of hard to reconcile what I want to write about and how to find appropriate keywords that fit the traffic and score under 100. So far, social media like Pinterest and Facebook are giving me some needed traffic while I wait for some of my posts to be ranked.
I also wanted to share that my WA ranking has moved up to the 1755 as of this post. I know that doesn't really mean much but it's just another accomplishment to mention.

When I first started at WA I was extremely driven to get a good WA rank. That is a mistake. I'm not saying don't help people. Do help people! But don't focus on the rank. It drove me mad for a little while, but I finally got what I should be focusing on straight. That's my businesses.
I do enjoy helping others, but I make sure that only a small portion of my time is doing that per day. The bulk of my work is on my site. If I get good WA ranking... cool. If not... cool. If I get good ranking for my website... cool. If not... BAD! Get it? haha
Again, keep up the good work. Your site looks good and I will be watching it grow.
I appreciate it Christian. I left you a reply on the post. I have been giving what you just said some thought too. It seems like there is so much to do to get this business going in the right direction and I definitely don't want to be spending too much time on things that won't help much. I would like my ranking to get higher but I don't really see how that will help my blog a whole lot so I'm trying to focus more on things like content and good training. Thanks again!
Your WA rank will not help your blog. But it does help our community. I've learned a lot here at WA and I'm just trying to give it back. The more help we can offer, the more we will attract people like you and I who are driven to be successful. But at the end of the day, the effort you put into your site is really your bread and butter.
Your WA rank will improve every day as long as you stay somewhat active. I let mine completely go for the bulk of 2016 to concentrate on other things. My rank dropped all the way to five digits. I've gotten back to 3 digits in about a month and a half. I do this by having a goal of helping five people per day and writing one WA blog per month. I've never written a training here, but I'm drafting my first one in my spare time that I will probably have up within a month or so.
Keep it up. Everything is looking good.
