How to Be Successful in ANYTHING:
Not a question, just a helpful post! I figured I would add some value to the community and try to be an active part in EVERYONE'S success. I'm here to help however I can.
I found affiliate marketing when I was 12 years old and I just knew that was the way to success. I don't come from money, and my resources as a child were limited. I wasn't able to do much in the industry of internet marketing then, so I just spent the time learning. Now that I'm an adult, and my income has significantly increased since my childhood I thought I would give my input on what I have learned on how to be successful, and what has helped me grow along my own journey.
I've had small success in the internet marketing field. I did Drop Shipping on Ebay for a while and had success with that, and made a few hundred dollars with affiliate marketing in the past but was never able to pursue it like I can now. I am currently in commission based sales in the Powersports industry and have been able to provide a better life for myself, but there's still WAY more success to be had.
So, how DO you become successful in ANYTHING you persue?
The secret is, your belief systems.
I've studied Psychology for around 13 years now, and have discovered many, many intersting facts and techniques for hacking the brain and changing my life. I hope to share some of the things I've learned with you guys.
What is a belief?
A belief is made up of 3 things:
- How you THINK
- How you ACT
- How you FEEL
In order to be successful in anything, you have to first BELIEVE it's possible to be successful. For some people, making $10,000 in a month is a top goal (me included), and for others, this is pennies on the dollar. I used to think this was impossible, and that $10,000 was A LOT of money. I changed my beliefs and have since had a few $10,000 months in my sales career.
If you come from a childhood where money was scarce, you probably have deeply rooted negative beliefs about money. You've probably heard that "Money doesn't grow on trees", "We can't afford to right now", "That's too expensive", etc. These all stem from a belief in LACK! The paradox here is that, there is no such thing as LACK! Everything exists in ABUNDANCE. If you find that there is a lot of lack in your life, Ironically you have an ABUNDANCE of lack. And this is the paradigm shift you need to consciously make in your head. There is no such thing as lack. There is plenty to go around for everyone. The circulation of money is a natural process, how much of it that circulates through your hand, is entirely up to YOU.
I challenge you to take conscious inventory of your beliefs. Sit down with a piece of paper and write down everything you believe about money. Do you see it as evil, or as a tool? Do you have money in the bank, or are you living paycheck to paycheck? Why do you think that is?
Just get really clear on your beliefs about money, success, beliefs about yourself as an individual, etc. Once you have a list of your beliefs, you can start to change the ones that are not adding to your success.
People will get tripped up when wiring in new beliefs because they will change the way they THINK, and forget about the other 2 steps.
If you just THINK all day about being a millionaire, but you don't ACT like a millionaire, and you don't FEEL like a millionaire, then you will never make a million dollars. If you believe you are only able to make $50,000 a year, then that's your cap. But, you set the cap YOURSELF! And once you accept the fact that YOU have been the one limiting yourself this whole time, and you become okay with that fact, and forgive yourself, then you are able to create new beliefs that better serve your purpose.
If you want to be a successful Affiliate Marketer, you have to first BELIEVE that it's possible. Then you have to THINK like an affiliate marketer, ACT like one, and FEEL like one. Look at some of the gurus on here, how do they think, act, and feel? Reach out to people in this community, converse and network, see what makes them tick, and then THINK, ACT, AND FEEL the way that they do. What are their daily habits? What are their goals? What are their beliefs about money?
If you take the time and energy to change your negative beliefs, and wire in healthy, successful beliefs, you basically can not fail. I can't make any guaruntees because I don't know you (the reader) as a person individualy, and your success is up to YOU! But, changing your beliefs is one of the first steps to building a STRONG base to grow and build uppon. Otherwise, you will be limited in your potential by negative beliefs systems that have been holding you back your whole life.
The time for change is NOW! Expand your mind, Expand your awareness, and Expand your beliefs. You are in control. So, what are you going to do?

Our posts do sound similar! I liked your analogy, and would also like to hear more about you being a used car dealer for 7 years. I've flipped a few cars in my time but didn't think it would be worth the headache to become a dealer. I'd like your input!
