Hello Cary, I think you have solutions to the questions you asked. I have visited your site and I agree with you a warmer colour would go a long way. I do like the site and the niche. When life causes you to stop and reflect and overcome grief, it is nice to know someone is there to easy you through those moments. My only suggestion is enlarging the font, for use older folks who are not seeing as well as we did in our youth. Great site.

Looked at your website. So far so good. I like it.

Problem with images. It seems you only set your images as featured images.

You need to click where you want the image, then at the top left is "add media". Click and choose upload from PC or choose Media Library if already uploaded. Choose the image and choose the size at bottom right. Usually 3 options. when uploaded, you can choose where you want image, etc.

I don't see the point of the calender on the right hand side. Use something productive like a listbuilder or a affiliate product or even your Facebook page like. There is a plugin for it.

Great Affiliate programs for your niche is "Mind Movies" and "Mindvalley". There products is a great fit for your website. Also Bob Proctor's Products.

I would like to see your face in the header some day. That does wonders for branding yourself.

No need for archives either.

Like you said. Add Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclaimer. In footer if you can or add as a submenu under "about". Under any page will work.

if you go to customize under appearance, you can change the background color to whatever you want; you can also change the footer while your there.. and the menu.

Cary, nice job...images? I had and have same issue, however, I found that the w/o editor tool add media tool doesn't actvate until you load images and that is a process, I tried to drag/drop. Copy/paste..I found a snip it tool in acessories on my pc, go to an image, click snip it tool new place cursor on image and surround image bam you have it...if you try to copy/paste...won't work/show up...gotta save as, then go to add media page add photo...NOW it will drag or open and wala the big column of stuff you can do with image appears ...when you complete options for image click and it's on post/page.
Go to widgets, click txt widget and a box opens that you choose where to place click the banner or url into content area and save new widget to footer/ sidebar assign vertical location or size...
