Finished Level 2 Training, and I am blown away
A good friend and mentor of mine gave me this sign a week ago. I apparently have made a good impression on him, but he has been a great mentor to have too. My mentor motivated me to keep pushing hard for my dreams, to never give up. He is a business owner of 3 online shops and a physical machine shop in town. My mentor has given me some great advice the last couple months, and I am glad to be working with him on some projects.
And that's why I am simply just blown away by the community here at WA. I am purely ecstatic to have the support that is offered here. Two weeks ago I had a broken 3d printer and a cnc router that I wasn't putting to use from an old business model I didn't know where to go with.
Now I have a full-blown website, with great content, ready to accept affiliate links. Off the top of my head, I chose home security as my niche. I have installed a few security systems in my time, but safety in general is a topic I hold close to me as my daily job requires the highest safety.
I find it difficult to write content, but like the training suggested, I wrote down something, and I surprised myself! I did the hardest thing I struggled with, and it proved successful. There are other niches I could have spoken and written to a lot easier, but I have a feeling this niche will train me well to take on anything else.
I have been dreaming for a long time of quitting my day job to live on a self-sustaining homestead. I was raised on a farm, and the life style still beckons me. I tried building a business centered around 3d printing, but the time invested in making products is ridiculous, but not impossible. Having taken the steps I have already with WA, I would much rather be building an affiliate business. Down the road, I know I will be able to achieve the homestead dream while making money online.
My 3 month goal: create an additional 20 articles, and hopefully my first sale. I have no idea how many articles it will take to start achieving income, but at the rate I am able to write, I think this is possible.
My 6 month goal: to have the website setup with at least 10 affiliates, and making approximately $2000 a month from affiliate links. This may be a stretch, but I am going to be pushing hard for it. I am using all my extra time to pour in to this business, as I have learned in the past that you have to give things the appropriate amount of required focus to make it successful.
I just hope I am not being unrealistic here. Kyle and Carson reiterate time after time to give it about a year to see success. My original goals when I started here was to pay my home off over the next 3-4 years with the additional income from an online business. I currently have $188,000 left to go! If I have to start multiple online businesses to do so, so be it.
I hope that I will be able to bring value to the WA community as well. There is a lot I have learned the past few years in studying online businesses, and I will be happy to share those experiences.
Thank you all, and good luck with your journey!
