LinkedIn Has Jumped On The AI Bandwagon - Not Everyone Is Happy
I just came out of a very engaging LinkedIn webinar about Artificial Intelligence (AI). LinkedIn has started to integrate ChatGPT, or at least some version of generative AI, into the platform.
Not everyone is pleased about that.
Some are saying that "The bots have won."
I am not sure that is the case.
However, what I am sure about is that, now more than ever, there is a growing thirst for originality.
When there is change, anything new, there is a tendancy for the pendulum to swing all the way to the other side.
Then, over time, things start to return to a place of balance.
Our AI journey will be no different, in my humble opinion.
My Suggestion?
Simple.
1. Use AI as a structural guide and,
2. Keep generating quality, original content.
What are your thoughts?

Classy Cassi,
A Harvard professor and astronomer Avi Loeb says that an alien spacecraft supposedly visited earth in 2017.
He says that it may have been sent by AI. Other scientists says that aliens are already here. Loeb's book is called "Extraterrestrial." So, maybe the alien-bots have arrived right on time.
AI puts our writing abilities to the test and gives the noggins
a workout. I really think that AI's goal is to help us be more original and
more productive. It may take a little getting used to, but overtime it
will change our world for the better.
Maybe we are as capable and as smart as the aliens.
Is LinkedIn right on the money? It's possible.

Rachele, WA needs a LOVE button! 😂
I love this:

I think that aliens are amongst us and look forward to meeting them one day soon. 😁
We think alike.

Good morning Cassi,
Thank you for your interesting post, I didn't realise that LinkedIn had started using AI; however, I am not surprised!
We are currently seeing lots of posts about AI on Wealthy Affiliate, I believe that Kyle is currently bringing a series of videos about AI. I must admit that I'm not very convinced about AI, it may have some good points, but I think the system will be abused. Which in turn will lead to very inaccurate and false information.
At the moment, we are seeing a lot of fake news and propaganda; what will AI turn this kind of news into?!
I'm in agreement with you, Cassi! Use AI as a structural guide and keep generating quality content! That makes a lot of sense to me!
Wishing you a great weekend.
Roy
Kyle's classes are great, Roy.
AI will help us with our PPC research too.
Enjoy the weekend.
Cassi
Good morning Cassi,
Yes, I couldn't agree with you more, we are privileged to have such good training! As you know, I am a premium plus member of Wealthy Affiliate, as you are. However, I can't keep up with all the training that is being produced! The great thing is that training is archived, so I can watch it at any time.
That will be interesting to see how AI can help us with her PPC research.
Wishing you a great weekend.
Roy
Technology is speeding along, Roy.
We do not have to be on top of everything.
Just what is most important for our business direction and goals.
Cassi
It certainly is, Cassi!
I hear you, that's very true, we almost can't be on top of everything. Sometimes I think these technological advancements can take us away from what we really should be doing! There's a fine balance, especially when technology can help us.
Wishing you a great Sunday.
Roy
Thank you, Cassi!
And yes, keeping focused is a major priority to success, we have to keep pushing forward!
I'm not sure day Mother's Day is in America, I know in Greece, where my wife comes from that it is in May.
Sadly my mother departed from this world on Saturday, her dementia took a turn for the worse. She was 92 1/2 years and she was ready to go. She was a woman with a strong faith, which makes it easier for everyone. We celebrate her life!
Wishing you a great and fantastic and productive week.
Roy
Roy, please accept my condolences.
I like that you are celebrating her life.
It sounds as though it was a life well lived.
We will keep her and your family in our prayers.
Cassi
Thank you Cassi for your kind words, they are appreciated.
Yes, she had a good and long life for most of her life, we will remember the good times! It's a good reminder to make the most of life, I know you do, Cassi, big time!👍
Have a great day.
Roy
Life is short, Roy, and it is what we make it to be.
Honour her memory in the way that you and your family live.
That way, she is with you every day. 🙂
Cassi
Thank you for your very wise words, Cassi, it's appreciated.
One of the many good things is that you are making your life good, Cassi! You are an inspiration to all of us here on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
It's good to remember the good times!
Wishing you a great day.
Roy
Google is already working on algorithms to identify AI generated content, to penalize it as not original content. I've no doubt Google will be successful in doing so. Google is also scrutinizing content for medical and financial advice, because people's lives can literally be ruined by following bad advice and AI has already shown it is capable of offering wrong answers. If you are using AI, don't just trust the answers it gives you - make sure it's accurate before posting.
Jeannine, that is why I am using AI for research and to help me with my framework and structure.
All writing remains my own with my unique quirky style.
It sure does save a lot of time though.
Cassi
Great point, Cassi, on generating quality original content with AI as support - it aint going nowhere (even in education, we already accepted this thats why we are working on improving AI detection tools)
Although for me when the balance comes, as we expect it will, how much will Google and others adjust their algorithms, despite what is been said now, to reflect human written content?
Generative AI is a technological development whose time has come. We just need to embrace it in our line of business. We can put it to good use in generating outlines for our posts and critiquing them, as Diane has just shown us.
ChatGPT lacks the ability to include those interesting, personal details that leave our audience glued to our posts. We will need to do that ourselves.

You are right, there seems to be two distinct thought patters. Those who embrace it and those, as you say, see it as a takeover.
It is like the introduction of calculators in school during the 70’s. Some were opposed saying it will dumb down the general populace. Others saying…well similar to what is happening with AI.
Thanks
Stephen
A great reminder about calculators there, Stephen.
I agree.
