Is It Time For You To Let Go? These 3 Questions Will Help You Decide

Every Old Year's Night we light sky lanterns while sharing our thoughts and feelings for the year past and our goals and objectives for the year ahead. It is perhaps my most favourite Christmas Season ritual.

It symbolizes the release of the baggage and negativity that you may have accumulated during the year. This frees up space for new and more positive experiences and blessing in the year ahead.

Is it time for you to let go of anything? Any negativity or mental and emotional baggage that may be holding you back from success?

Here are 3 questions to ask yourself.

1. Are You Ending the Year Feeling Tired?

Tiredness is a much-overlooked symptom of some deeper issues. They could be as a result of emotional and mental distress, physical ill health, burnout or the simple need to slow down.

This year we have all had to undergo tremendous distress, whether you are aware of it or not.

The inability to physically move and interact as you normally would has a huge impact on your functioning and development.

In addition, operating in a "digital space" means that you have probably been more "wired" than you are accustomed to.

2. Do You Feel Pressured?

Whether self-appointed or brought on my external demands and expectations, the feeling of being pressured to perform can be burdensome.

Many of our Wealthy Affiliate (WA) members feel overwhelmed and pressured to compete and "catch up" with others in our community. This is exceptionally burdensome and can lead to major burnout.

Pressure like this builds internally and can explode internally and externally. You become almost addictive to the need to do more and more and soon you have lost control of yourself and sight of your real purpose.

3. Are You Here Because of Desperation?

Many members arrive at WA at the time of desperation when they
have exhausted all other options, spent most of their money on false promises or are just desperate to "do something to make some money".

This is what I call concrete weight. It gets heavier and heavier because you soon find out that success here is not instant. When success does not happen immediately these members get frustrated, envious and depressed. The behaviours are played out in many negative and unhealthy ways.

Light Your Lantern

No one has a glass ball. We have no idea what 2021 will bring us.

What I can safely say, having travelled through 2020, is that you will need tremendous emotional and mental fortitude to work as an online entrepreneur and build a successful business.

To achieve this, you will benefit from a clear mind, positive emotions and healthy, engaging communication. A way of functioning that you can learn and harness here at WA.

So, think about your lantern and what you would like to release to lighten your load and travel into the new year with positivity, learning and growth.
