What Is A Content Audit?

So here's the thing.

I had no idea that "Content Audit' was a 'thing' until I Google'd it this week. Yes, I know I should not have been surprised to discover that it was.

And, in a typical manner, it turns out that it involves all of this!

Your content is critical when it comes to things like an SEO Campaign (check out Lily's training on this) and of course, building your traffic. Everything begins with your choice of keywords which will take some trial and error to get in the groove.

For an in-depth understanding of keywords, The ULTIMATE Guide to Keyword Research will land you inside Prince Partha's mind. That may sound a little scary but trust me, you will not regret it.

A Quick Reminder

Although I have been a Wealthy Affiliate (WA) member since October 2019, I only started to build out my Affiliate niches in Q4 2021. Thanks to my training in WA and what I learned from our members, I was able to establish a reasonably successful online firm.

WA is great that way and the world can truly be your oyster.

How My Keywords And Content Are Progressing

Now that you know what a Content Audit is, here's some insight into how I am currently using what I am learning about my websites.

Traffic on my 1st website, (which also happens to be my firm's website that is bringing in all the consulting deals at the moment), has grown from a few hundred per month at the end of 2021 to almost 2,000 at the end of Q1 2022.

This website only has 39 posts on it currently but here's the thing.

I am capitalising on keywords that, even within my niche and profession, few people think about.

The keyword 'congruent' is one that may not come to mind for the average individual. But, I have explored unique ways to link it to other content. Posts on our website about being congruent or congruency are linked to almost every other topic.

Session Duration Is Rising

Do you see what is happening with Session Duration? Visitors are staying longer which means that they are actually reading my content!

This is the ULTIMATE end goal.

This makes me very happy because it shows that my choice of keywords within my niche was a good one but, even more important, people are finding my content engaging.

As the Prince would now say: Rinse and Repeat and Repeat and Repeat.

2,000 visitors a month may not be all that big - yet - but it is growing and quickly too. Now that this is happening, I will begin deepening my monetisation efforts.

Of course, I will be writing more content too.

Hi, Cassi

Great post! You are doing an excellent job, as usual. 👍

It is important to update your content every so often.

My guitar website is only 1 year old, but I still check external links, etc., to be sure they are up to date. I have 80 articles on it and am getting about 5,500 new users a month.

I choose my product review topics based on what interests me, assuming they have good keywords in Jaaxy, since it’s more of a hobby at this point.

Eventually I will monetize it, probably sooner than later.

You are also making great progress, Frank.
I like those numbers.

My MMO site has a little over 50 posts, is 1 year younger and only now starting to get some traffic - about 200 visitors a month.
I know that will be a bit harder to grow.

Again, I am going for different angles and keywords like 'future of blogging" and "are blogs still a thing".
I am not a big fan of reviews but I know I will have to do 1 or 2.

Thank you for sharing.

Such a great idea to try.
Congruent is indeed a unique word.
Thank you for the helpful information.

You are welcome, Muslimah.

Excellent advice, Cassi! Tha ka for sharing!

Its true, as it is for the term, congruent. Whenever you use a certain term, repeatedly, it sticks. The magic of language.

And that is when you hit the bullseye, Rudy!

Thank you for sharing.

You're welcome, Cassi!

This is a key exercise for all sites once they've reached a significant age/size. Thanks for sharing such vital information.

You are very welcome, Jeannine.

Thank you for your endorsement.

Very interesting Cassi!!

You are certainly moving forward in the right direction, there is no doubt about that!

Following young Parthas methods (if one finds them too out of the box or not) DO work!

The bacon is always present where I live my friend!:-)🥓

I am trying my best to, Nick.

This is like riding a bicycle.
You keep at it until one day everything simply clicks and with one push, you are breezing across the highway.

Keep the bacon on the fire. :-)

Cassi

So true Cassi, as long as we all keep persevering and stay consistent then one day it will all just click..

Personally.. I prefer to keep my bacon in the fridge though until it is time to cook it, too long on the fire and it will end up black and inedible my friend!! :-)
