The world is currently consumed with COVID-19. That means many of us are glued to the news following events daily, even hourly. I have chosen to get quick updates and not allow the negative impact of what is happening to detract me from my goals and objectives.

CNN has helped to make Blogging a Profession.

This week, while catching up via CNN, I was attracted to the title of one of their Reporters. It said Journalist and Blogger. Wow! I thought that is big. If CNN gives you the stamp of approval, you know you are now mainstream and legit.

Dabble But Do Not Waste

Many people come to Wealthy Affiliate (WA) looking for fast money. That is their objective. I am very happy to say that you will not find fast money here. What you will find is a learning and development environment that teaches you to become a Blogger. The decision to become a full-time, PROFESSIONAL Blogger is yours.

Dabblers Waste Time and Resources.

If you are here to dabble and "try this out to see if I can make money", I would not even say it is your hobby. I would say to you: Make that decision fast and then move along so our Community of Hobbyists and Professionals can get on with their business of the day.

No apologies there. Dabblers are distracting and consume valuable energy and time with their destructive behaviours, derailing questions and unhelpful comments.

Enjoy Your Hobby

Hobbyists may not have the time or interest in becoming a full-time Blogger. This may be a way to supplement your income and be involved in something that excites, motivates and supports you. That is excellent. We know that you are not here full-time but when you are here, you are engaged and supportive. You participate fully and share meaningfully.

Becoming A Professional

Our Professional Bloggers are our experts!. They have been through WA University and are intimately involved here at WA. They support us daily and we can never repay them for the value they bring to us.

Professionals Are Serious About What They Do.

I consider myself a Professional Blogger In-Training. I am here for the long-haul and I look forward to the day when I can proudly call myself a Professional Blogger.

WA continues to build my skills, confidence and humanness. There is not a day that has gone by in my almost 6 months that I have not looked forward to being here and participating in our learning environment.

Contribute Meaningfully

We are living in changing times. The new normal for the future will be determined by our current behaviours and attitudes. WA will continue to be an integral part of our future and we should all be proud that we are here.

I ask one thing of you though: During your time here, contribute meaningfully. There is nothing wishy-washy about WA. Rise to the standards that are evident in our Founders. I guarantee you that it will make you and your life better.
