Nurses'week
According to American Nurses Association (ANA), May 6-12 is declared to be National Nurses Week.
One week, among the 52 weeks of the year, is set aside to reflect, examine, and evaluate the contributions the nurses have been making in the health care. It’s a time to consider the service that has been rendered. A time to examine the quality of the service performed. It’s a time, at least, to evaluate the whole service of health care. We applaud the initiatives of the ANA while thanking all the nurses for their service.
It’s a great recognition towards honoring all the nurses for their important role in the health care.

Although I didn't graduate, I do have a nursing / medical background (attended 3 of a 4-year program back in the day) and I'm amazed how much it's blessed me. As a holistic health care and professional massage practitioner (retired), the bulk of my clientele were from the medical profession, esp. nurses. They always had a "courtesy discount" for my services - because they deserve the very best!!
Thanks for posting. :)
I am a nurse and really appreciate what you have written! A few people don't understand all that we do. The doctors look at the patent but it's the nurses who often do the treatment on a day to day basis. We work long hours. Our feet ache, we get varicose veins if we don't wear proper socks. We work overnights and often get fat from having to snack to keep ourselves awake. Have poor sleep patterns and get tired and cranky. Often we have a family and still need to be on top form for them. A lot of nurses get burnt out. I am truly thankful for the appreciation you have shown.
