Schooled in Leadership
A Resonant Leader?
I only want to help and encourage so when I have one of my Team members, our very own Thabo Nkomo from here on Wealthy Affiliate, write an article about me entitled "Carl J Dill - A Rosonant Leader who WILL Change the Future" I was a little bit humbled and honored to say the least. The truth is that I do not see myself as a great leader. I have always striven to be a great example. To be a gentleman to everyone no matter what they believe or how they feel about me. I only want to help and encourage the remaining years of my life (however long that may be - none of us know).
A True Gentleman
Thabo in all my interactions with him has proven himself to be a true gentleman and I am glad to call him my friend. He is an accomplished author. A student of life. A bold and courageous communicator. Daring. But gentle -- hence my term gentleman.
Thabo I am honored by your post. I was somewhat unsure what to do with it as I said in my comment there but honored nevertheless. I stated there that all I can really do is simply say 'Thank you.' I am a student of leadership. I have been for many years. But you schooled me in leadership in a way I had not yet been schooled. In being praised and honored in such a public way by one of your Team members. You need to know that I consider you my equal in every way. I too am looking forward to working together for many many years. Perhaps some day (in Vegas perhaps) we will get to meet face-to-face.
Humility: The Cornerstone of Leadership
In all of my research about great leaders I have found a common thread. Humility. And Thabo has given me a great gift in this praise and recognition for it has caused in me an even deeper sense of humility and responsibility for my Team. (Thank you again)
I Google searched 'Carl J Dill' and found Thabo's post, after several entries about my personal location and life (Yikes!!); after several entries about personal stuff I found his post at #5 on the 1st SERP. That is incredible to me. Of course who really is going to search 'Carl J Dill' as a Keyword. Not many I suspect. But to me this is a great honor.
Better Than Riches
The Book that I try to live by says that a good name is better to be desired than great riches. And it is my sincerest desire not to tarnish the good name that Thabo has given me. In another place it says to "Let another man praise you, and not your own lips." I almost hesitate to share this post because it seems like self praise. Perhaps in some ways it is. I am not sure. But I wanted to share what an exceptional and thoughtful person Thabo is.
And I wanted to give recognition to an ever growing team of Affiliate Marketers who are making my time online a pleasure and a source of joy. Thank you all. You know who you are. I am not sure how many liberties I can take with this post so I will stop there.

Thanks so much for the kind words, Carl. The truth is that I am learning as much as giving. The great thing about life is that at one moment we can be the teacher and the next moment we can be the student. That's why I live my life believing that I can learn something of value from anyone. All I have to do is keep my mind open.
Thabo we are aligned here on yet another point. We can truly learn something from anyone. When we have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart that is willing to be pliable, we can learn something from anyone or any circumstance.

I have seen and enjoyed Thabo's post about you Carl. You are admirable in your approach to people, business, and genuine human kindness. It is of no surprise to me and I am sure others who know you that such recognition is taking place. I am honored to know you myself.
