How does one eat an Elephant?
Hi all you WA enthusiasts! Welcome to a WA morning! I have a confession to make!
I am obsessive compulsive to a LARGE degree! When I was a little girl, I drove my mother CRAZY! If I decided it was time to answer my pile of letters, (yes, when I was a teen there WAS NO EMAIL!...crazy right?) I would 'hole myself up' in my room and not come out until the task was completed. And it was usually a two day task! This is why OCD folks can tend to have messy houses, junk piles, and MANY started and yet unfinished projects. If there is not time to do it right, we just don't do it at all!
So whereas the non-OCD person may be able to successfully schedule a consistent hour a day to spend on Wealthy Affiliate endeavors, as a task oriented person, I tend to bite of a HUGE chunk and I have to chew it ALL up! I tend to need to complete a whole task before I can move on to something else!
This can be VERY bad for the family and the upkeep of the home! Dishes in the sink, and piles of laundry on the living room floor! At least the cats are fed!
Unfortunately, OCD folks have a very hard time with the old adage... How does one eat an elephant....ONE bite at a time!
I am just not wired that way! Argh! It is very frustrating, but "I is who I is!'
I have spent years trying to change 'me' and now I have learned to just 'work with me'! I now plan for my binges! I now spurn routine! I now embrace the times I retreat into my 'tall tower' to work my magic!
So back to bootcamp! I WILL finish bootcamp this week and get my WA website up and running if it kills me!
Hang the dishes, hang the laundry, and no, no, don't worry....I won't hang the cats!
Blessings to all of you, OCD'ers and 'one bite at at timers' alike!

Hey Carla,
Each person has their own way of doing things and I have always
believed that as long as it gets done. Mission accomplished!

One bit at a time - many bits at the same time. I think this is the feminine way of doing, laudry, cooking, writing, reading etc. a bit of the one, then the next then the other and back to the first, continue here and there - untill everything is ready at the right moment!
Don't worry, and don't believe that it should be different!
I like the 'many bits at the same time', that aptly described my life with 6 children! Blessings! to you!

"I is who I is" is quite a poignant expression and sounds like the microcosmic version of "I AM THAT I AM " which I am sure is very familiar to you.
You have inspired me by showing how much you can succeed just by being who you are. Thank you for your generous gift and keep doing it. Thanks for following me and don't be surprised if I reach out to you for some help sometime and of course I will reciprocate whenever I can.
Thanks, iblanco, for the great comments! I love it when I can inspire someone to greater things...a student...a friend... a stranger... a fellow dreamer. I love to help folks reach their goals...I guess that is why I am a teacher! Ask away! Feedback and comments on websites always helps each one of us. Do you have one up and running? I will go take a look and comment if you do. Mine is theinternetmarketingrookie.siterubix.com and any comments would be so appreciated! I would love to comment on your site as well, when you have one going!
