Respect and Diversity are two words among many that are highly in the spotlight, for good reasons. Not too long ago I was appointed on a Cultural Diversity Team and on a District Advisory Team. Many times I had to check my reviews prior to presenting it because I knew it would differ from the majority on the team, because of their level of understanding the law, and their social interaction with the rest of the team (go along to get along) which differed from the purpose. I was never a go along to get along, always stood for the right thing for the greater good. I believe when we concern ourselves with others feelings we gravitate to telling lies for fear of repute or bullying. What do you think?

I always put the law, policy and procedures above socials peers and public perception, is that a good approach?

Allow me to add I love the Law and I feel I am Justice. LOL. (Simple put, I always wanted to be in LE and my education, knowledge and experience is in the Justice System.) A judge friend and I once laughed at the fact that we get so much training to get the position that becomes burden when we no longer need it.

The interpretation of those words are subjective. However, with good discussion, they could transform into objective interpretation for the greater good of communication.

Pic # 2 Oh well, that one also brings to light the interpretation of comparing "good or bad".. There are many good people with differences of opinion and when cultures differ, who is to say, one is better than the other.
