My First Website!
Hi, everyone! :-)
My first step as a premium member was (after watching some training videos) to create my own website. I chose a passion that is near and dear to me: health. I am new to the art of website building, but I like the way it looks so far.

I am wondering, though, how a basic website like the one I created generates income. This may come in later tutorials, but it is a thought/question I am having now.
I am interested in promoting health food/supplements (protein powders, etc.) as one of my niches. How would I incorporate this into my website? I am excited to learn all the info WA has to offer where this is concerned.

Wow great start. At this pace you will be very successful. Great writing and clean look. You might want to get a higher resolution picture for the header. As you build the site out, you can have different categories in the header menu. That is where you would put, the food/supplement category, then in a drop down all the reviews you do on the different products. Of course with an affiliate link within the review to the products. To find some affiliate programs for your niche do a google search: health food + affiliate programs. Great job though.
Nice start on your website thus far Cameron. What you will be looking to do (which you'll learn in further training) is to find a complimentary health related affiliate product, in which to promote & hopefully have your site visitors purchase for a percentage of the income.

Site looks great, and your articles are a nice read.
Some easy and quick improvements:

-Embed the amazon Astore on your own website using an inline frame (iframe). Video with instructions: http://youtu.be/4Txlcin3Pfs
-Move your Privacy Policy to the footer of your website (if that's possible with your theme). Nobody really wants to read that, but you just have to have one for legal reasons, so it shouldn't deserve a spot in your menu bar.
Do you already have a http://pinterest.com account? Your site would do great there.
To promote protein powders on your website; Google some protein recipes, try them out, and blog about it. Just casually link to the protein powder you used for your recipe.
