Bill Gates is there, pictured above is Xanadu 2.0 his 154 million dollar home located on Lake Washington in Medina, WA, USA so would you say he has reached success?

Hope you don’t mind Debs66 and Littlemama but I’m going to be using the two of you in this blog.

Many new members prior to singing up for a premium membership want to know how much money and how fast the money can be made from this system. Most of us know this is not a cut and dry answer, there are far too many variables that can change things to give a straight answer to this question.

Yesterday I was having a chat with a member here and the question arose in our conversation that got me thinking (that is something that does not happen often) :-)

After you set your goals when you first started doing level one of the OEC training how many of us have achieved those goals, and then I got to thinking I wonder how many members feel they have reached success here at Wealthy Affiliate and how they gauge what they call success.

The 2010 Bugatti Veyron with only 6061 miles a steal at 1.8 mil. located in Miami, FL, USA

How about a 2014 Learjet 75 listed on Jetlinx reduced to sell 6.8 mil currently in Memphis, TN, USA

And Lastely we have the new Worx 550LX personal submarine for a mear 3.2 mil by order only

Many of you know that Debs66 recently posted how she has been able to go from driving a Mercedes convertible to now owning a huge Range Rover (a huge financial difference in cost and maintenance expenditures), and she is currently on her dream vacation 2 weeks in a private villa in Spain

So to me this sounded like she was saying she feels she has reached success and now it is time for her to sit down and reassess her definition of success and what her new goals are going to be so that she can successfully guide her website/s in that direction.

Then we have littlemama, who has not yet come out and admitted if she has reached what she considers success yet or not, but she is kicking some booty on those referrals and has earned a fun filled vacation to Las Vegas on WA’s tab. I haven’t read any of her new Vegas training yet I’m waiting for her to complete it all then I will sit down and read it all at once, and soak up the knowledge she shares to us.

So this left me thinking:

Remembering that even though they are very closely connected

Your success and your goals are two different things.

How many members here have reached what they consider success?

How many members have reached their goals?

You can reach success without ever hitting your goals.

And Visa Versa you can hit your goals without reaching success.

I THINK SUCCESS IS:

Reaching a point in your life when other people seek your advice, value your opinion, and follow the example you set. NO I do not feel that I have reached that point yet, I might be very close, but I do not feel I am completely there yet. (This is based on a combination of financial, mental, and physical attributes)

AS FOR GOALS:

I have reset my goals on a yearly basis, and I have been able to crush ever year’s goals since 2003 except for 2008 when the economy took a hard dive downward. My current goals have shifted form yearly back to monetarily and that consists of getting my two current website that I started here at WA to reach a combined 10K a month earnings. I know it will take some time and I will have to be consistent to reach those goals, but I have faith in this system and my abilities so I believe I can reach this goal by the end of 2020.

The training seems to concentrate more on your goals and not what you would consider being successful

SO

I’m wondering if you would be so kindly to participate in sharing:

Your meaning of what reaching success means to you, and if you have gotten their yet?

Hey Kelvin,
Great blog!!!
Personally I think success and goals for me are similar. Maybe not for others but for me they are!!

Tried and True

Elaine

Thank you for your post. Great words of wisdom
Sandy

I agree with several people here. My goal is to have supplemental income coming in by the time I retire. I’ve got several years to reach this goal. If it happens soon enough I can retire earlier than planned (OMG that would be so fantastic!). I define success as being able to meet my everyday needs without feeling stressed about running out of money. Right now, long as I stay employed, I’m successful. As for WA, every time I complete a lesson, every post I finish makes me feel like I’m successful. Why? Because I’m moving in the right direction!

Great post June. I agree with you and love what you said about every time you complete a lesson or a post you feel successful because you are moving in the right direction. That's the root of any huge success. It's all the small successes along the way that get you to that huge one, isn't it?
So, I say , "Hurray", for each and every small success that each and every member makes!! See you at the top!

Excitedly,
Karen

Hi Joan,

I believe that as a group we have begun to define success in a sense. Thanks for your comment post, I appreciate your participation in this survey or poll if you would like to call it that.

Calvin

HI Karen,

I'm not sure as to who June is? LOL

That's okay it happens to the best of us! :-)

I agree will all need to pat ourselves on the back for achieving our short term goals of daily accomplishments. And this achievement of daily or even yearly goals is what will lead to gaining success.

Please stand by more to come. . .

Calvin

hey there,
I haven't reached my goals here yet but I have no doubt I will and as for success I feel that I am having success with every stage I complete here and I'm sure these smaller triumphs will lead to a much larger success.
Thanks, great post
peter

Hi Peter,

Glad you shared that with us I certainly appreciate it!

Thanks for your comments,

Calvin

Nice post. Thanks. Quite thought provoking.

Hey Adeyinka-charles,

The exact reason for the post. :-)

Thanks for your comment,

Calvin

I have not reached success yet, I have met some smaller goals,
It is interesting how you define success and goals. Good post Calvin, very interesting and now you have me thinking

Karen

Hi Karen,

Great! The whole concept of personal growth is to provoke thoughts from within to gain knowledge and a better understanding of your own capabilities, what is going on around you, and how to improve upon it effectively and efficiently.

Thanks for your comments,

Calvin

Great post. Thank you.

Thanks for the comment.

Great post and good question! My goals are to make enough financially that I can support my two little ones without having to leave them to go back to work. I have already been successful in taking certain opportunities such as WA and completing training in order to do this. I feel successful every time I create another post or manage to help another newbie out on something I was stuck on before. But my goal is for it to be financially beneficial and am not quite there yet. :)

Hey Louise,

Thanks for sharing with us your opinion on what you think success is.

Your comment was greatly appreciated,

Calvin

No worries Calvin! :)

Newbie here! I’ve just started my journey with WA so have much learning to do. And a long way to go.

BUT having said that
- I went premium after only having the starter membership for 2 days - success!
- I chose my niche after much deliberation - success!
- I created my very first website ever - success!
- I’ve started adding content (which I am finding rather overwhelming - but it’s in the works) - success!
- Google indexed that website within 5 days! - success!
- I posted my very first blog - success!

Though these may be minute for some, to me they are small successes. Which in time will cumulatively become big successes.

Small or big success is what you make it out to be. Taking it one day at a time, building onto your previous success.

HI Christine,

Thanks for giving us your opinion on what you think success is.

Your comment was greatly appreciated,

Calvin

You are most welcome!
