First off, All In One SEO only provides you with advice, not exact science.
In order to stop my domain name from being used in my post titles, I provide a very long title. Yes, seriously. See screen print below... I keep my permalinks short.

Thank you for the reply. In looking at your screen print, you are correct in that your website name isn't appearing in the search engine, however it still appears to be part of the title as noted by the "..." at the end of each visible heading.
My concern is that having a title that is too long, beyond 60 characters for example, may impact ranking, even if some of it is hidden behind the "...". I am hoping there is a way to actually remove my website name from the title if possible.

Hey Calvin,
You could remove the text from your Site Title if you wish, but that could hurt your rank worse than having more than 60 characters in your titles.

Thank you, this is very good to know. I do like using descriptive titles, and I am glad this doesn't affect ranking. There are times however when my website name simply doesn't go very well with my post title, or it is already part of my title, and I don't want it there twice.
Nathaniell posted an option above that solved the issue if you are interested.

You can remove the title from your posts in the AIO SEO General settings: https://www.screencast.com/t/G6JtB2XJyiJR
Just remove the | %blog_title% portion
Resubmit sitemap and home URL to webmaster tools, and that should fix you up. Probably see results in a couple days. Maybe faster if you've got an established website.

Simply removing the portion you highlighted appears to have solved the issue immediately. I don't quite understand the part about "resubmitting sitemap and home URL to webmaster tools", but it worked.

The site that I supplied my screen print of, has that field removed and yet, when Google has room, my domain name STILL appears in the title in SERPs.
