The education system - Not made for us, bussiness builders
When we set out onto this business world, it's so easy to get lost. So many things to explore and learn and experience, and because we are exposed to a constant flow of information.
Experiencing the business world
When I first started my journey here at Wealthy Affiliate, I never realized how hard it was to commit. I had assumed it would be as easy as thinking, you know when you're lost in your thoughts about something or anything that's around us in this world.
The thing is, that's about the extent of it. All my life, as I've finally got out of High School, I've been told how to do my homework, what are the lessons I should revise and learn, and complete certain assignments. I'm sure a lot of you know that process.
But when it comes to building my OWN business, it's a whole new level. There's no precise guideline or order of tasks as in a math exercise. If I were to compare business to anything, it's like trying to actually create yourself a math exercise that's nothing like others but that is still challenging and that can provide any benefit to the person who's trying to solve it.
But I realized something.
Pondering about this for hours, I realized it's actually something I had in mind for years now.
The school education is teaching us to be employees, pieces of industry in a giant machine.
Now, I'm not saying it's wrong to work a 9-to-5 job, far from it. I'm just saying that this kind of activity doesn't suit everyone, myself included.
But as kids we're all put inside the same bag, and only the luckiest and quickest-to-adapt of us get out of this system victorious. Unfortunately, others potential are hidden and not used proficiently.
I believe that kids should be individually coached and need to awaken their own mindset through an intuitive process that will then develop their mental and personal traits, as well as creativity and values of life.
Instead, they're all taught the same stuff like sheep and are coerced to believe that they will live their dream life doing what they secretly hate for a salary that hardly covers the bills.
In a perfect world...
There should be an education system for people who are willing to put more than their body to use, a system within which creativity and ambitions matter more than a grade based on knowledge power.
That's why I love it here at Wealthy Affiliate. Everything is so different than the boring format of day-to-day schooling where you need to attend classes at specific hours and sit for an hour straight listening to someone blabbering his book to everyone regardless of their own experience and needs in the subject.
Even though I'm not used to converting my own imagination power to actual useful content, it was hard but it's getting better.
Some people can cope with this system, and it's great. But I can't. I need to do things at my own pace, deliver production based on my will and own persevering about the things I'm really passionate about.
Ever since I was old enough to understand these things (I was probably about 14 - yeah I was a premature grown-up, circumstances obliged), I knew that I had to find my own way to live my life and not let someone else decide for me.
Your life is important and you only get one. Only you can decide what to do with your life.
Are you a sheep, or a wolf?

I agree with you. The education system has not changed in long, long time.
The future of education is the way we are learning here at WA. You learn at your pace and with results that will be practically used.
Thanks for sharing.

Or perhaps a wolf in sheep's clothing. I can only speak for the education system in the UK and it is more for the 9-5 brigade than the entrepreneur.
