Well, I Finally Found It

Hello Success Engineers, it's been a while since I posted. Actually, I've been spending a lot of time searching for another full-time job. As a lot of you know I have not been happy with my current employment situation for some time now.

In fact, on November 16, 2018, I wrote, "Witnessing The Reason Why". I took a picture one morning while driving to my job and stopped in traffic on the interstate. At that time, this image was to show the reason why I joined Wealthy Affiliate.

Then, on January 27. 2019 I wrote, "Toxic Work Environment". At that time the toxic work environment I was in was just getting to be too much. No pay raise in two years, no communication and no transparency within my organization. I explained how I wanted to quit my 9 to 5 job but could not manage it financially.

Fast forward 6 months and it finally happened. I applied for a pretty good IT job about 45 days ago. Time went by and I figured, well, here we go again, I'm too old to even get an interview. Then, last Wednesday about midday I got a call from HR at the company I applied too. The lady said, we would like to interview you if you are still interested.

Of course, I said yes, and, yesterday morning I interviewed with the IT Director. It was actually one of the best interviews I've ever been a part of. After about 50 minutes he wrapped things up and said I will have a decision by the end of the week on who I will hire.

So, feeling pretty good about the meeting I drove home and then back to the toxic environment. After about 1.5 hours I got a call from the lady in the HR department. She said, "We'd like to offer you the IT Technician position, welcome to the family". I almost passed out. What, who, me? You're gonna offer me a job at 58 years old and only 1.5 hours after the interview?

I guess the relevance for us here at Wealthy Affiliate is, don't give up, keep searching, good things will happen. Unfortunately, this job is going to take more time away from my WA work, however, I won't stop working on my sites and hopefully one day my online business will be able to allow me to stop working for someone else. I'll keep following members, answering questions and helping where I can.
