What I've learned in just a couple of weeks.
I joined Wealthy Affiliate only a couple of weeks ago. I had been searching for an out to my current status and discovered a world of possibilities here at WA. Granted, I have not made any money...yet. But I have uncovered, what I believe, to be a roadmap to financial success.
I had absolutely no idea how to start a website before I stumbled across WA. I have now started a site, purchased my own domain, and have a pretty general understanding of how to create posts and pages, with pictures. Ooh! Fancy! Seriously though, I am hooked on what I have started to create here.
I love the learning process. I am a premium member; as such, I feel as though I have access to an unreal amount of training courses. I am so excited to see what further training brings me. I appreciate the task boxes that go along with each lesson, encouraging me to learn by not only reading the lesson and wathcing the video, but also by DOING the new trick by myself. I have noticed myself going out of my way to make extra time for working on my site and learning more from WA.
My website is a cooking website. More specifically, it hosts slow cooker recipes and tidbits to make beginners feel more comfortable in the kitchen. Because of what I learned in just the first few courses, I was able to home in on a niche that I am seriously passionate about. I have always loved cooking. So building a site around something that I love to do, and DO do all the time is going to be really fun for me. I am really looking forward to seeing if I can turn this into something.
I have no reason to not be adding content regularly to my site, building it up quickly. I plan on remaining diligent. My goal is to be posting at least 2 new posts weekly. This, in theory, should be easy. I am hoping to start seeing some ranking happening within a few months. I have goals of starting to create revenue as soon as possible, hopefully within 6 months. I am only 2 or so weeks in and I have a lot of momentum and excitement.
