How many success stories do you need to hear before you make your own

I have only been a part of this wonderful family for about six weeks. And, I must say I can't ever remember being a part of something so strong.

I see so many success stories posted on a daily basis that I know I am where I belong. Although this is not a success story so to speak. I have not reached any of my goals. But, to me there is more to the story.

I saw this quote on my Google Momentum and it made me think about my own story and the steps I am taking to make my own success.

"How many success stories do you need to hear before you make your own"

Let that soak in for just a few minutes. If you are on the fence about getting started or frustrated because you tried and failed. Ask the above statement to yourself in a mirror.

Did the light bulb come on? Or did you see just a dim glow?

Ahhha Momment

Why are you here at Wealthy Affiliate? Is it to celebrate others success or your own. Chances are you are like the rest of us here at Wealthy Affiliate.

You are here for a dream and a hope. There are many here that have succeeded and there are many here like me that haven't quite got it yet.

I have only been here 6 weeks. How long have you been here? If you have been here longer and you haven't made anything of this yet.

My question remains the same. How many success stories do you need to hear before you make your own? If you are sitting on the fence Why? What is holding you back from your dreams.

I asked myself these same questions when I first saw the statement. And, I must say that over my life I have heard a lot of success stories but have yet been able to write my own.

But, I still believe it is possible. I also know for a fact that the work must be completed in order to succeed. Personally, I think that I have given up too early on some of my dreams.

Self Help

Over the years I have read countless self-help books. From personal finance to how date online. I think I have at least started most of what is out there.

Most of my inspiration comes from books such as these. However, most of what I have tried has had a failure of some sort.

That being said, the failures are what has made me who I am today. That is to say, strong and willing to fight for what I believe in.

How many failures must you endure before you are the success story? Only you can answer that question.

One thing I always think back on is, Thomas Edison failed many times before he had success with the light bulb. What if he had quit before he succeeded. Where would we be?

In the dark? Or just maybe someone else would have continued his dream and been successful with the light bulb.

In short, the one take away from all the books that I have read. Success is always there, it is just a matter of who will succeed. In mind it comes down who is willing to fight the hardest for it.

No Feelings Hurt

I am not writing this to offend anyone. In fact if you are offended you need to look deep within yourself for the healing. I am not putting anyone down so to speak.

I haven't been here that long to know anyone personally so this is not an attack. I simply saw the title and felt I needed to share my take on it.

I must say, that if you are a part of this group and you are not willing to put in the work to succeed you might as well be on Facebook or Twitter.

However, if you are here to learn and be inspired and to grow a successful business, I truly believe you are in the right place. And, although I haven't made a dime yet,

I do see progress and I see the wheels starting to move in the right direction. .

It Is What I Do That Counts

Over the years, I look back and the one thing I always remember was that I wanted to be a writer. I am not sure why.

I remember as a kid in the Navy, thinking about wanting to journal everything I witnessed in the world. How I wish today that I would have followed up on that notion.

Fast forward to today, Here I am fulfilling that dream. Although I can't remember some stories from way back when. I do have new adventures to tell today.

Maybe you don't see things as I do. maybe it is hard for you to put your thoughts on paper. Let me leave you with this one tip that is helping me each and everyday.

If you have a cell phone you have the most powerful tool you could ever have to write with. And no, I am not talking about the Facebook app that is loaded on your phone.

You have a voice recorder. I have found that when I get a thought I simply pull out the phone that is always in my pocket and record my thoughts.

When I am ready to write a post I simply play the recording back into the dictation feature in Word. Then, all I have to do is decipher my thoughts into a post.

Final Thoughts

I want to leave you with one final thought. Stop waiting to here others success, simply make your own. You are the only one who can control your success or lack thereof.

I hope I left you with something to think about and that you are inspired to pull yourself through the mud. It may be dark where you are but the light is not far off.
