My long but fun and fruitful journey.
I discovered WA many many years ago, and I created an account for it, put a folder in my email dedicated to it, and then left it sit. Now as I've taken the first section of lessons, have a website up and understand the potential for this, I find myself wishing I had started those many years ago and where I could be now.
There are two things I try to live by however, and one of them are because of happenings like my experience above.
"Start now. In two years, you'll wish you started today."
That applies for everything. Learning a new skill, taking a course, starting a hobby. It's an encouraging little line, but the other motto I live by is not worrying about the past. It takes up way too much time. I'm focused on the present and I don't worry about things I cannot control. So here I am, dialed in now and ready to go places. I know just as you plant a tree and properly take care of it, the fruit will become ripe and you will be rewarded, so too I know the proper work and diligence and my efforts will ripen and I shall be rewarded.
Throughout this first section of lessons I've taken I've managed to put up a couple different articles on my website "AstronomicalViewing.com", and understand the process, behind the scenes and more of SEO at the same time. It's been intriguing and fun for me to do so. Again, I've not worked as much as I'd like and some is due to procrastination which I am in the proccess of fixing. I will go back and finish up some details on some posts; adding pictures, updating the menu, etc, and go from there, but I can't wait to continue and keep going.
The biggest thing that still shocks me is the involvement of the community, ESPECIALLY the owners, after 15+ years. I rarely hear of such things. If everyone knew how homey and supportive this place is I feel like it'd be the easiest sign up ever. I haven't asked much or been too involved with the community, but I still want to give a massive thanks because I see how amazing it is.
God bless you all.
I hope to join you in success and independency.

Welcome back to Wealthy Affiliate
This is a great blog post and congratulations on your achievements so far. A little bit goes a long way and it's great to hear you are progressing nicely. I really like your motto start now in two years you wish you started today.
It's really great and is very inspiring to think about. I also like that you aren't worrying about the past but for me that is something I haven't been able to achieve. I'm stuck on the past for many reasons and I hope to be able to let it go like you did one day.
