Just a short post this Friday..
As someone who has NEVER used Google+ before, I just discovered the amazing benefits of being able to reach SO MANY PEOPLE!!
I had signed up for Google+ about a year or so ago when it first came out, for no other reason other than, Why not. I didn't have a picture, email , nothing. I just joined that's it!

Today, I had remembered that in one of my lessons here, Kyle had mentioned about setting our sites up on our Google+ account and he spoke briefly about how great of a media site it was. I didn't pay that much attention to that part and just thought it was another way of getting your name and site out there - and it was something else that I had to add to my "To do list".
Well today, again I will mention how I never use Google+, I decided to set it up a bit and maybe start putting some content, pictures and branding info on it. I was floored to discover that I had 11,612 views!!! (Imagine if I had my site finished and posted on there!!) I only have 9 followers!!! Either I have some serious stalkers, or people are finding me for whatever reason, and I can really take full advantage of this media source to be able to reach thousands if not millions of people.
When you hear people talk about using social media to promote your site and branding yourself, my first thought is always Facebook. Facebook has always seemed like a dead source to me because I know from trying to promote past MLM's on Facebook, it got me 1 or 2 sales and annoyed everyone else. FB is about as deep as your social circle allows it to be. Which in most cases, a lot of us don't have more than a 1000 friends, and no one ever really wants to be bothered on their newsfeed about another promotion, when there is enough ads included on there now with the new changes to FB.
But maybe it's just me being new to all of this and how you can really get yourself and products/sites out there. I think I may have to go over a few of the lessons again to make sure I didn't miss anything, but today was an interesting eye opener to discover how you can really market yourself without really trying at all!!
