Social Media Share buttons - Why do you not have these yet?
As I am still going through my post of when I offered to share people's sites on my social media sites, I've noticed a very common theme - a lot of people still do not have social media "share" buttons on their site.
These are really useful tools, not only for people who want to save and share your work, but it also shows how many other people are interested and have shared your pages.
I know Kyle has created lessons in one of the Courses (I will insert once I find his), but also Xinyum has also created a really good tutorial on how add this simple plugin into your site.

I know I was slow on the draw with adding them into my site as well, and I still may even change up my plugin to something with a little more visual appeal.
But I thought I would just share these useful training modes with anyone who is unfamiliar with how to add them in.

Thanks for this Nicki. I am also not on all these social media platforms yet, but hadn't realised you don't have to be, until you just said so.
Well it's always good to be on some of them, but not all. But yes, these are for other to share you site/pages :)
I don't plan to be active on all the SM platforms above. I find SM just too time consuming, and even Kyle puts out cautions about over use.
That being said is there still a site benefit to having the whole group of SM buttons on a website?
The social buttons aren't necessarily there for you to share, but for others to share you pages. You don't have to be involved in social sites to have the site share buttons on there. (I know you can connect them to yours - not 100% on the mechanics of this yet)
If I was on one of your posts, and I really liked it and wanted to share it on my Facebook page, I could just click on the Facebook icon from the site sharing button, and share it instantly. Rather than having to copy and paste the link to that post from the ULR tab.

I would add it in as soon as you can. You don't have to share your site on social media, but if someone likes one of your pages and wants to share it, then they can do it easier than copy-pasting the link :)

Fair enough and good point Liz!! Most of the sites that I've been looking at to share are well on their way along the training though. They have tons of pages. Unless, they just kept building out? Either way, it's a good thing for people to have on their sites so people can share which will help drive more traffic! :)
I added Mine a week ago, Every body should Set them up as soon as the are publishing, to get things moving on site.
I 100% agree. Even if there's only a few pages listed, doesn't mean that someone doesn't want to share it on another side or email for later reference! :)

Yes, those social media buttons are a very much needed attachment on your websites
Exactly. I know a few people had mentioned it to me before I had added them onto my site, when they wanted to share a page or two.
