Happy Anniversary! The best is yet to come.
I received my one-year dedication badge earlier this week and when it popped up on my screen, I was in disbelief that an entire year had already gone by since I signed on to Wealthy Affiliate.
So much has happened since I first heard about WA. Thanks to my mentor Hugh for the introduction and the encouragement to get on board. I knew absolutely zero about affiliate marketing before this.
More than my day job.
More ways to use the talent and skills that I had honed over the years.
More income to supplement my salary.
More ideas to provide a product/service that would not become another 'job' but something I would enjoy while serving others.
Through Wealthy Affiliate I have learned WordPress. Who knew? I certainly never envisioned learning to build my own website from scratch. Let's not even talk about all the affiliate marketing jargon: SEO, Google Analytics, plug-ins, dashboard, e-commerce, MMO.......the list is neverending.
Finding my niche - that in itself was a journey, but one that I do not regret as it has fulfilled two goals: allows me to use my skills and provides a service to clients who need it.
During this past year, I have also written close to 90,000 words between my WA blog posts, my website blogs posts and the content that I have written for clients through my business. If you'd asked me a year ago if I would or could write as much as that, I would have probably laughed incredulously.
I've had a few posts indexed, experienced peaks and valleys in my WA ranking as I prioritised my business over keeping up with WA comments and posts. I've virtually met some truly amazing and inspiring people in the WA community who are as diverse as the countries from which WA members originate.
So WA...Thanks for the one-year dedication badge. It continues to be a work in progress and I'm trusting the next year to be a step-up and a move forward to even greater things as my business dreams take flight.
Cheers to Life!
