A Year Already?

I just received notification that my site renewals are coming up in a month, and I thought to myself..." It can't be a year with Wealthy Affiliate already!" Where did the time go? I guess the old adage of "Time Flies When You are Having Fun" rings true (or as an old friend put it "Time's fun when you're having flies!"

So, this anniversary is yet another time when I am able to reflect on what I have been able to do with my blogs, how far I need to go, and how much income I can derive from my blogs while being able to inspire and help others. Unfortunately, this past year has been quite a roller coaster, and I have not been able to spend as much time on this project as I wanted to. My day job took a lot of my time, plus I had a number of unexpected expenses arise to where I needed to focus on working overtime.

Does this mean I am down and out? Nope. Here is my take on it:

• I didn't get to do everything I wanted to, BUT I have been able to write approximately 40 blogs between two sites, add Google Ads, set up a new Wealth Affiliate member (go Heather!), and learn a ton of new concepts regarding affiliate marketing.
• I haven't mastered the social media aspect quite yet, BUT, I have been able to reach more people than expected through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
• I haven't made much money through the affiliate marketing process, BUT, I am having fun writing about topics I truly care about, and I know the monetary aspect will follow soon.
• I haven't made it to the first page, BUT, even if it took a little bit, I was still able to have my content indexed by Google.

So, as I move into the second year with Wealthy Affiliate, I know the growth potential is far greater than I could ever imagine. This year, my goal is to be able to write at least one blog per site each week and be more involved with this great community. I also plan to learn more about the ins and outs of SEO and how I can move my sites to the front of the pack and how to create better blogs, so Google acknowledges me sooner. It sounds like a small goal, but considering my last year, this is a big step to my future...my family's future.
