A couple of weeks ago, I made a commitment to blog every day!
That lasted one day!

As I'm working on this blog, the customer for this piece has just lost his fight with Cancer!

New Project... For Mom!
My son, Russ is a carpenter and Jack of All Trades for building.
Recently, he was working on an extension closed-in room for the backyard of a
horticulturalist and riser of chickens!
While on the job, he and his assistant Mitch were fed daily and really enjoyed working with these folks!
"Mom, you think you could make a chicken for them in stained glass? I'd love to give them a gift!"
"Sure! Send me some pictures, so I can get ideas.".
From "A Chicken"...
Don't ask an artist to do something simple as a chicken!
My mind took off from a day project to a full week of construction!
Stained glass creation is a process!
Like building a website, one needs a vision!
I could go to length with this, but today is about writing and getting something done with WA, so perhaps in another blog, I'll share, at a later date.
Final Creation!
Okay, now, ...I'm trying to wrap this up but cannot get to end of the page! So, I'll close here and send, without a song.unless perhaps, "The Chicken Dance"?
What I'm really getting, these days? Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone!

Next blog, RIP Gerald R Reid, first husband and Father of my kids... Passed away October 27 after 12 years of care at our wonderful VA hospital in Houston, Texas!

I, too, had wanted to learn this after getting bored with other art projects.
I enjoy a challenge!
One day, way back, I was throwing papers for the Houston Post every morning, while playing Mom with little ones during the rest of the day.
One morning this guy comes up after seeing him many other mornings, and says "I'm Bob and I do stained glass!!"
That's how it came to me back in 1979.
If you like working with your hands, this may be for you, too!
We're never too old to learn some new tricks, right??
Doing glass is an escape when life gets rough.

That backyard is that of the man who just passed away.
I'm now very thankful for this tribute to this fine man. His wife will have it, hopefully, as a memory of Him, for Her.
