Do I need to be a niche authority to make money?
Well, this question popped in my mind very often in my initial days of affiliate marketing. Yesterday, as I was cleaning up my room I found a old Gulf Newspaper which had an article giving the exact answer to his question.
Surprisingly the answer is NO. You don't need to be a mojo in your niche before you see your first penny.
The article stated that-
"72 per cent of consumers surveyed said that they trusted online reviews as much as personal recommendations."
This stats that 72% of the viewers take the reviews personally, just like a face to face conversation made by a salesman at your door!!
Another part of the article said-
"But, small and niche community platforms are the latest social trend with 54 per cent of consumers profiled admitting that smaller communities had a greater influence on a particular topic than a larger one."
People search for small niche websites particularly to read a personal review by a real person rather than the corporate sounding article which lacks the personal touch.
When your niche is, let's say "woman shoes", you don't necessarily need to have a website with huge visits per day or a trendy website in your first try to win the consumer's trust. All you got to do is just write a content pleasing and complete to create a loyal visitor.
Hope the article gave you a new perspective. Have a great day :)
