Blogging Tips on Wordpress
Hi there folks,
Blogging Tips on WordPress can be the fruit of a simple accident. Happy to say, not every accident has a horrific ending. Here's a quick discovery I dug up while working on my WordPress Blog. Tips, Tricks, and advice, is scattered all over the place here at W.A., and most are very useful for those of us that work on posts that exceed 1,000 word or more.
If you're partial to typing out relatively long blog posts, you may find yourselves doing allot of scrolling up and down the page for whatever the reason. Personally, after 109 posts, 46 pages, and answering over 700 comments, the scroll wheel on my mouse has a flat!
I'm not sure why I did it or what I was thinking, but (for whatever reason,) I was at the bottom of a 2000+ word post, and performed a single left mouse button click on the black bar across the top of the screen. See the pic.
One accidental click, and I found myself at the top of the page. Now for some people this might not seem like a big deal. Maybe I'm guilty of checking and re-checking things, thus causing me to scroll up and down several times. But since I learned this, it's saved me a ton of scrolling!Another good thing about this, is that it works as you view your actual webpage as well. So if you've got a theme for a site where you've only got one main menu, and need to scroll all the way back up to select a new page (or whatever you've got in the menu,) just click that same black bar across the top, and you'll wind up back at the top instantly.
After having found this hack, I've been using it like crazy, instead of burning the rubber off of my mouse wheel! If this is covered somewhere else, I've not found it, so I thought there may be others like me out there that may find this tip useful. If I find any seemingly unspoken tricks, I'll throw it up here. But in the meantime, thanks for reading Blogging Tips on Wordpress.
