Keep Ideas Close To The Vest
Keep your ideas close. Don't mention them here or if you must, use a broad term. When I first came here I had no clue. Seriously, no clue. In Affiliate Bootcamp I made the mistake of mentioning two (yes, that's right, two) domain names. After the research I did to make sure they were available I went back after mentioning them. They were gone. Yes, that's right folks! Gone! Someone had bought them. Maybe this won't happen to you.
Anyway, Sunday morning! Denny's! Lots of old stale coffee! Kidding, usually fresh...usually...
The coffee was good! But the steak and eggs were better!

That's horrible Brendie. I was wondering if that was the reason so many people don't list their websites. I think you need to show your website to get comments and feedback. That is why I show mine.

This really has nothing to do with listing websites and everything to do with stealing ideas (domain names) after someone else did the work and research.
That's right! I like the idea below about putting a DMCA badge on my sites. Perhaps you should too?
That's a shameful thing to happen! I can't agree with FFinch (below) because if you don't display your website on your profile then how are you going to use the comment and feedback service?

As for listing our sites, I have a few others but not ready to share them. Yet. I do like the comment and feedback feature.
Displaying your website on your profile is also not recommended. Unless you want your content duplicated by a very lazy WA member. I currently have one website displayed on my profile and have seen my own content on a different site. I haven't removed the site but, I also haven't updated it since. It's just there.
That really sucks Brendie. :(
I was also wondering about removing my site from my profile but then again, people will see it regardless on the site comments/feedback platform and in the comment/feedback discussion threads. If people want to copy I think they will do it regardless. We can only fight back like reporting to Google. Have you done that FFinch?
If you find this is happening, you should issue a DMCA takedown notice

FFinch,
That's too bad. Did you have a copyright at the bottom of the page? Thinking of doing that with my sites. Copyright everything. Or have it in the privacy policy and/or terms and conditions.

After reading about what happened to FFinch I do plan on keeping a close eye on all my sites.
Whether or not you remove your site from your list is up to you.

Yes, a tough lesson to learn. Thank you, Brendie, Hopefully members will read your comments and be aware that there are always people who steal what ever they can if no safe guards are in place.

True! I am going to install DMCA in a few.
