Pay it forward - WA style

One of the regular comments that Kyle makes during his training is to Pay it forward. To help others within the community, whether that be by commenting on their posts or providing feedback on their sites, before asking for comments or feedback on your own work.

There are so many ways that we can help the community by Paying it forward:

• Commenting on each others posts
• Providing critical feedback on each others sites
• Writing blog posts about our achievenments and what we have learnt
• Answering questions of our fellow members
• Welcoming new members
• Just being there for each other.

This reminded me of a quote from Zig Ziglar

"You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."

This quote captures at its core in my opinion what the Wealthy Affiliates community is all about.

So what other wisdom of Zig Ziglar can apply to our daily efforts in building our online businesses.

"People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily."

When life gets busy it is easy for our motivation to wain, especially if we are not seeing the results we want. This is why we should be regularly reviewing our goals for our sites and reminding ourselves of why we starting building our online ventures in the first place.

"Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes."

We all dream of writing that perfect post, google ranks it at 1 for our search term immeadiately and the traffic starts to flow. We need to prepare for writing a lot of content, testing our keywords and a lot of paitence before the traffic will come. However we need to be ready to capitalise on any opportunity that presents itself, someone who reads your blog and wants you to guest post on their site, an opportunity to joint venture with another member or just recognising what is working and doubling down on it.

"If you learn from defeat, you haven't really lost."

We are going to try a lot of different things in developing our sites, a lot of what we try will not work. So long as we are learning from our failures, our mistakes and from each other, we haven't lost. We will continue to get better, to grow and to make our websites all that much more better.

And finally

"You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win."

This is what Kyle and Carson have provided us with Wealthy Affiliates. We have at our disposal the tools, the training, the community to succeed all we need to do is believe it is possible and put in the hard work. Nobody said it will be easy, but if your mindset is right you will be able to achieve your goals.
