Update to Warning Deceptive Site Ahead Red Flag-Google Fixed it! Yay!
(cover image: mobile phone of Google Chrome browser)
Finally, about an hour ago, I got an email telling me that my paid-per-click (PPC) site had been removed from their blacklist as a "deceptive site."
I solved the problem by going into Google Search Console and requesting under Security that they review my site and take me off the list as a deceptive site. I briefly explained it's an affiliate paid-per-click site. There are no downloadable links; it's an affiliate link website.
I waited. This morning I got this email.
I erased the link to my PPC site. Here is the email I got.

I am so glad it is solved. They did not say why, only from the two categories. Somehow it looks like they thought my PPC site had unwanted downloadable software that was deceptive when there was none. I have no idea why they would think that.

PS. That is good news. I can continue to work on my PPC site today. Thanks to everyone who responded.

I had the exact same message come up for both of my websites through site manager. I just thought it was my computer, because after a couple of refreshes it let me in both of them. I have no idea what happened!
I'm glad to hear that you got it solved!
Sam :)
Glad it got resolved, Brenda! Do you or anyone have any idea how to check this in Google Search console itself or does this happen every time you just look up your own site on Chrome, so then you know?
Now that I remember,I had a message way back at the start of my website that my site was "dangerous" and that clicking further could cause issues. I don't even remember how I fixed that,I think support did back then.
thanks
Lizzy
thank you Brenda, good to know! And happy for you that all is working again, my gosh I would be so frustrated!

Hey Brenda,
Great news! I'm so happy to hear that Google finally fixed the issue with your site being flagged as deceptive. It's always a relief when things get sorted out.
It's strange that they thought your PPC site had unwanted downloadable software when it clearly didn't. Sometimes these automated systems make mistakes, but thankfully, they reviewed and corrected it.
Anyway, kudos to you for taking quick action by going into Google Search Console and requesting a review. It just goes to show that being proactive can make a big difference.
Keep up the good work, and here's to smooth sailing with your affiliate paid-per-click site!
Cheers,
Israel
