Two Announcements Regarding Google Core Update and Google Search Status with Indexing
Hi Everyone,
I do not want to be the bearer of bad news about the August 15th announcement from John Mueller at Google, saying that they started the core update and it will last a month. Therefore, we will see some traffic volatility for the rest of the month until after mid-September.
Here is the announcement

Second, if you are like me and recently had issues not getting your posts indexed, here is why: see the screenshot.

What do you do about the core update? Nothing; keep going. It looks like they were working on the indexing issue. Give it some time. I hope they resolve it. I have two articles that have not been indexed since this issue.
I keep focusing on the socials I am working on; it is time-consuming to do it all. Depending solely on Google, organic unpaid traffic is no longer valid with Google, so I go somewhere else to get my content at other places like Medium, Linkedin, and Pinterest.

Thank you for calling attention to the Google core updates, Jay has a video on Bing that's quite interesting. The fact is that Google is not the only search engine and Bing has some really helpful features. I have been using Pinterest to drive traffic. It is, slowly showing some signs of traffic, It will take some time though.

Thanks for sharing, Brenda!
I have gotten into the habit of requesting indexing with each new piece of content using my Google Search Console's URL inspection function. Posts are indexed within 24 hours.
I just posted on Thursday, and that content is indexed, so I don't think the core update has affected me, YET. LOL
Brenda, since these core updates, I started doing this a few months ago, and my content is always indexed by the next day of the request for indexing.
