Well, I will have to give Claude a try. I have stuck with chatgpt from the gate. My only con for Chatgpt is info/data goes only until September 2021. Thank you for all the time you put in, Brenda. I will give Claude a try this evening.
I am only doing YouTube videos right now and will test -drive Claude on some script writing, titles, and intros and compare to what chatgpt has provided me already and let you know the results/opinion.
Hi, Brenda
Great post! 👍
I’ll definitely be checking out Claude AI.
I’m getting great results with ChatGPT4 and Bard so another worthwhile option would be awesome.😎
Frank 🎸
Thanks, Brenda.
I have found that ChatGPT and Bard work best if I give them specific instructions as a “virtual consultant” on how to enhance what I’ve written by pulling in additional information and reorganizing the final result.
I don’t give them free reign to create every aspect of the content like many people are doing.
The same probably applies to Claude AI.
Frank 🎸
Yeah, they will only continue to get better, but they will still be tools and should be treated as such. 😎

Great summary Brenda. ChatGPT does remember conversations & previous Q&A. It builds on a theme & leverages previous insights. Did I read your ChatGPT cons correct when you say it doesn’t remember conversations?
Interesting. I’ve been using ChatGPT to draft blog posts (for ideas, not to use directly) & it builds on previous conversations & answers to the point where it suggests future topic sections without a direct prompt.
Just a summary. I was away from ChatGPT & my website for around 6 weeks & a couple of days ago I prompted it, in my website (http://AgeFreeStrength.com) chat, with "Please provide topic & keyword suggestions for my next website post".
The response was 'scarily' perfect with no repetition of my first 2 posts, both of which I had prompted a few times for section headings & post content suggestions.
It came back with 10 topics that literally built on my first 2 posts & also aligned with my home page topics list that summarized what the website will cover.
So, I prompted Chat GPT with this 'does it remember' debate as follows with its answer:
Prompt:
I'm currently in a debate where some people are saying that ChatGPT does not remember chat questions & answers. In my experience with you I say you do remember & build on previous chat content. Am I correct?
Answer:
You are correct. ChatGPT, like the version you are interacting with right now, has the ability to remember and build on previous chat content within the same conversation session. This is a feature designed to maintain context and coherence throughout a conversation. It allows you to have more natural and interactive discussions where you can refer back to earlier parts of the conversation and the model can provide responses that are consistent with the ongoing discussion.
However, it's important to note that this memory is limited to the current session. Once the session ends, the model doesn't retain the conversation history. Each time you start a new conversation with the model, it's essentially a fresh interaction without any memory of past conversations.
So, in your debate, you can confirm that ChatGPT does indeed remember and utilize previous chat questions and answers within the same session, but its memory is not persistent across different sessions.
Summary:
Providing you stay in the conversation it will remember & build on it.... which is what I am doing with my website
Read your second paste. It confirms what I wrote “……beyond the current session”
As per the ChatGPT reply to my prompt (both copy/pasted), it remembers content WITHIN the same conversation (aka session), not across different conversations.
I suspect that is the source of conflicting feedback.
For me, it is without any doubt building on my website conversation & using previous Q&A within that conversation for content & context.
I’m using it out of the box & have not tweaked any settings.
Just prompt it with 'do you remember content & context within a conversation' & you will get a specific answer to a specific question.
I just prompted it with those exact words & not only did it reconfirm, it finished with "........However, as I mentioned earlier, once the conversation session ends, I don't retain any memory of past conversations."
How would it finish with that if it didn't remember within a conversation session?
Just to prove it again I prompted it in my website conversation with "Please reply with my first prompt in this conversation with the date it was made"
Its reply was.... "Your first prompt in this conversation was made on March 22, 2023. Hi, I'm in the process of setting up my new website that focuses on strength training for people as they age. The website's target audience is 50+ year-olds who are looking to build and maintain their strength as they get older. The main content of the website will include workout routines, exercise tips, and advice on staying fit in later years. I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions you can provide on creating and organizing content for my website. Thank you!"
That's the exact date & content of my first prompt in that conversation session.
Enough proof?
The trick is not to end a conversation session or start a new one & expect it to remember the other conversations content.
I'm sorry Brenda if I got too excited. Was just trying to respond to your very good AI summary. I'm still learning also & I think I mis-interpreted your summary. Of course, ChatGPT remembers content & context within a conversation session. It wouldn't be a 'conversation' without that functionality. I assume you were stating that it does not remember across conversations - which it doesn't. Thanks again & keep up your great posts!!
At this stage, I prefer chatgpt 4 because I have spent more time learning its ways and nuances, but for sure the position may well change Thanks for a great article it reminds me I wanted to access Clause 2
Hi Brenda.
I like the capabilities of Claude AI and ChatGPT.
Claude AI is chaos which I like, I think he can be super powerful.
Yes, it will transfer to all other devices, I expect tomorrow that the TV will stop working or everything will be as before.
After a day it changed the look and function of the app on my mobile device. It's been tested, let's move on.
ChatGTP is also good, but it's kind of impersonal to me.
I give time to both the AI and myself to get the best out of it.
Thanks for posting.
Many greetings to you.
Slavka 👋
