When Life Throws You Curve Balls, Hit Them Out of the Park!

We all know that life is not perfect, but maybe you have had a perfect streak going lately. Life has been good, productivity is happening left and right, and you begin to feel like nothing could stop the momentum now that you are really rolling.

Then wham!

Your blind sided with something you never saw coming, that has the ability to completely knock you off your feet, losing all momentum and drive, and in some cases, leaving you feeling debilitated.

I can assure you that you are not alone! For we all go through these very situations, at different stages of our life, career, family, etc. What we do in these situations however, determines what the outcome will be.

Naturally, when we get hit with a hard blow, we tend to freeze, going into shock in order to process “what in the heck just happened?” Sometimes we just lay on the floor after being knocked down, because we feel like there is nothing left to live for, but I can assure you, that there is plenty to live for. We sometimes have to walk through the dark valleys, in order to reach the mountains, we plan to climb all the way to the top.

Getting hit with any kind of blow, downright sucks on all accounts, but we can choose to either make it worse, by rejecting and prolonging the situation, or we can choose to embrace it, knowing that it is just a season we are walking through, that is strengthening, and polishing us off to be greater than we were before, and handle way more than we ever could imagine.

We can’t always control what happens to us in life, but we can control how we react to negative situations. Our reaction determines our outcome, and how long we stay down for, or how quickly we rise up in triumph.

If you have been knocked down my friend, know that you are not alone, and rise up from the floor before the countdown is over. For you have a purpose to fulfill (even though it may seem dim at the moment). I’m not sure how you ended up here in WA, but you have found yourself in a community that will support and help you through

anything you may be having a difficult time with. For I can guarantee you, that there is someone (if not hundreds of people) who have gone through the same situations as you, and they made it through them, because life always goes on, making us stronger than before.

Don’t waste a second of it fretting over something you can’t control, for with time, the things you fret over, tend to become so small and minuscule, that you may often look back and wonder, “why did I ever waste so much time letting it bother and affect me so much?”
