What is a Profitable Niche - The Answer May Shock You

ALL OF US, when starting an affiliate marketing website have wondered, what is a Profitable Niche? What kind of niche can I research and promote to gain income with high commissions? Well that's really not a good way to find a Profitable Niche. Let me explain.

HIGH COMMISSIONS DOES NOT ALWAYS EQUAL PROFITABLE

Imagine the niche you choose is in consumer electronics, more specifically a Samsung Chromebook 4 computer. Just one sale of a Chromebook equals $300.00 and you get $45.00 from the 15% commission. Ten sales will earn you $450.00 in commissions. Sound good?

This is my current computer and I love it!

Consider this. Imagine your niche is in health & wellness, another popular niche, and specifically dealing with immune strengthening vitamin supplements. Just one average sale equals $120.00 and you get $18.00 from the 15% commission. Ten sales earns you $180.00 in commission.

Why would $180.00 for ten sales of vitamins be better than $450.00 for ten sales of Chromebook computers? That math doesn't add up! Well that's true, but you have to consider the broader picture here. Sometimes commission totals can be deceiving in the long run.

There are two reasons I can think of right now for considering the lower valued item. Vitamin supplements are consumables. People are always looking to refill their supply. The other reason is that more people are looking for fixes to their health than buying a new computer.

Though I'm only 62, these are the vitamins I take and they are amazing!

With that in mind, look at what happens if you get 30 sales. Your commission is now $540.00. It is easy to realize that more people on the whole will purchase vitamins for better health than a new computer. High ticket items do not always generate high commission payouts.

GO WITH WHAT YOU KNOW

You can make any niche profitable if you are passion about it. What does having a passion for something mean? You actively partake in the use of that niche and you think it is the best thing ever and you would recommend it to anybody. That is being passionate about a niche.

If you love a product, recommend it to others!

You can become close to that level of passion by doing in depth research, but you will never reach the true passion unless you use the product. When your niche happens to be what you partake in yourself, you should go with what you know when choosing a profitable niche.

Seeing how content creation is the backbone of what we do with an affiliate marketing website, the more passionate you are about your niche the more you will have something to say. This is why a profitable niche is not always a high ticket higher priced product you promote.

Our content gets ranked for the information we provide. The longer and more in depth our content is, the more keywords Google and the search engines will find within it. The keywords I'm talking about are those which naturally are created in long form content.

Keywords are everywhere!

When providing your readers with information on everything good, bad and in between with your niche, you help to answer all the concerns of the reader. This type of information can only come from someone who is passionate about their niche and has much information to offer.

WHAT IS A PROFITABLE NICHE?

A profitable niche is one that you have a huge amount of information about and it helps your reader in deciding why they need to purchase what you are promoting. If you know your niche or at least take the time to learn about it, you will have all the answers your buyers need.

If you've seen success through the WA training, promote it!

A good example of this would be making Wealthy Affiliate your niche. Many have tried to promote this niche right away because the commission payouts are great. Don't get me wrong, promoting WA is a great niche to be in, if you make it work and continue growing it.

I personally made a lot of money promoting WA years ago. However, I didn't start until after my first two websites. Once I knew first hand what the benefits are in being a member here and how the training works, I felt more confident in choosing Wealthy Affiliate as my niche.

A profitable niche will be one you know much about, have experienced the highs and lows from it and can effectively promote and get people to make a purchase. Knowledge is power in so many ways and when you know your niche, you can turn it into a profitable business.

High ticket items may look attractive and profitable niches to consider, but remember, do you know enough about the niche to persuade your readers to make the purchase?
