A Done Deal
A number of days ago, I blogged here about how being determined destroys self-doubt sooner or later. So the essential thing is to make a definite decision (actually, I think "definite decision" is probably redundant, since if it's a "decision", then it's automatically definite).
Anyhow, having made up my mind and being determined now, I'm able to view my goals as a done deal.
A major goal I have for this year is to make $500 during one month.
Given that it's already April, it does seem that time is going by fast whereas I am moving forward slow, especially since I haven't written any content for my site in over 2 weeks. But that means I'll just have to turn things around.
With my determination and commitment and therefore thinking it's a done deal, I was able to come up with a pretty good plan (more thorough than my original one-page business plan) that covers this year's goal of making $500 during one month:
- Write 2 pieces (page/post) every week from now on, so in 8 weeks I'll have an additional 16 pieces, which adds up to 20 (I have just 3 pages/1 post at the moment).
- Start getting on affiliate programs in early November (when I have about 25 pages/posts)-- add one affiliate a month for 6 consecutive months.
- Purchase PLR book https://www.theplrstore.com/ to use as giveaway when people sign up on my website in January 2018.
- Put Ebook "How To Make A Friend In One Week" on Amazon with mention of website in book in March 2018.

So I will go at it a minute step at a time--until I climb all the way up the stairs. At least, I now can see the steps, so am no longer walking around blindfolded.
In Kyle's First Live Class webinar, he mentioned how if you have a product that makes $20 commission, then if you sell 5 a day, that's $3,000 a month.
My goal is to earn $500 during one month by April 2018, which is not a lot, but is still a pretty big stretch, considering that I'm earning zilch at this point. However, the formula is to figure out how much commission per product and estimate how many sales per day times one month.
I learned from an article on the Internet that the average conversion rate is around 2.5%, though it depends also on type of niche/what kind of thing you're selling.

Conversion rate only 2.5%? That is a lot of effort for a small return. But then again you would have to consider the volume of your reach. It could be 2.5% of a million clicks to your website.
Well, a 2.5% conversion rate would be 1 out of 40. So if I got 1,000 visitors on my site a month who looked at a certain post or page with (persuasive) call to action on a product that had $20 commission, that would be 25 sales, and $20 commission times 25 sales would equal $500, thus hitting the goal.
Another good factor is that by sharing your plan you are now responsible for its completion and we will all be watching your progress with interest. Go for it. Best wishes, Chris

Yes, I think this is a milestone for me, actually.
I don't think the plan would have come about so easily in my head and be as detailed or realistic if I hadn't made up my mind first or felt determined. I think determination took me in the direction of having clear idea.
Now just got to act on it.
