How do I build an inner circle?

With so many good friends and contacts here at WA I am becoming a little overwhelmed. Just like when I joined Facebook it is becoming unmanageable.

It's all very well having a large network but other for ranking I can't see the benefit. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Of course we can PM each other but again that grows like topsy.

Is there any way that I could form a smaller, tighter knit group who could become my inner circle when it comes to seeking and giving advice. Something like a PM group.

Bo

Hi Bo

I know what you mean, FB messenger can be a real handful when you are trying to build a new following. I always get bombarded with love stickers, pictures of roses and some rather interesting images unintended for the little people!

I have found using a closed/invite only Google+ group to be a real life saver for professional purposes.

Kind Regards

Michelle

Whilst it can be overwhelming and it is good to follow established members it is always nice to return a follow and help others not only that just because the rank here is good does not mean they are the most experienced there are newer members who know more than me as I have only been doing this for two years now

Hi Katie,
You are right in what you say but that was not my point. Most of my working life I have been involved with teams, focus groups or whatever you would like to called them. It is the natural progression from working alone or as part of a crowd and is always more effective. I understand and appreciate the value of being part of a wide community like WA but surely it would be a great addition to easily work as part of a small more focussed group.

If you want a smaller circle just quit following people on all your social circles and here at WA there are a lot of people who only follow people that are important to them .but me I think you are wrong because the more people you have the more chances you have to promote your website and the more traffic you have the more opportunities you have to make money I have been here over a year and I am glad I have followed over 8000 and they have followed me because it has made my website what it is today all the best Max

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Perhaps I didn't word my question very well. I fully agree with you about keeping all of my network. What I was looking for was something in addition to that, such as flagging certain people as inner circle or something like that.

then I would create a group on either face book or google that pertains to your niche that way you would have the inner circle you seek and they would know how to assist you on your niche and you could help them as well all the best Max

I've been trying to figure out how I can do this my self. Other than the outstanding training we get here all of us are trying to use the net to make money. Now, I have tried to be helpful enough to establish a reputation and attract people to check out my profile and join one of my mailing lists. So far it hasn't happened.
Point being I think we need to form our inner circles in groups we control. WA ISNT SET UP TO TAKE IT TO that level. In fact if we want to form groups to promote a specific affiliate WA prohibits us from doing it because it would turn into SPAM.

I'm looking forward seeing others comments on this. How can we attract others to work with us?

I know we could do it with google plus but I am not yet skilled in that area. I do have an account though so maybe I could set up a circle there, but need some advice on how to do it.

It wouldn't just b for comments though. My thinking is that it could be used for advice, guest blogging and collaboration.

With a big capital C on Collaboration. What you are trying to do should focus on your website and you optin list. Everything else we do is to drive traffic to our website and to get that traffic to join our optin list. Once you have their email you can create the relationship with your list that results in collaboration.
