April 2020 Progress - a little late

To Start Off

April was a very slow month for me. I ended up doing more minor maintenance on my site than actual blogging. This is also going to be a short post as well. I will say up front...that next month will be better.

OK...On With It Then...

To cut to the chase... I didn't do much this month as I was hoping to. I ended up spending more time helping my daughter with her school work in the afternoons and evenings. She is struggling a little with the work given her from her teacher.

My mornings were difficult getting out of bed as I had quite a few late nights as well working in the garage to get it cleaned up for my Locksmithing side hustle as well. Oh, I didn't really mention that I was studying to be a locksmith on the side. That may be immediate cash in hand when I get it up and running.

So, that took a little of my time at night. Now, that the garage is almost done...still have a cage that needs to be put up for securing my key cutting machine. I also need to put together a few work tables now that the garage is nearly cleaned out.

OK, enough about that.

Really - Now on With MMO and My Websites...

My website (the MMO one) has had one review added to it at least. I did a few updates and followed a couple suggestions to eliminate the "blue space" at the top of my pages. So, I have an image up there now.

My Web Design business has been registered with Google "MyBusiness" for better local SEO.

I also made some changes to my wife's Pet-sitting website to give her access to it through WordPress.org. Now, she can add blog posts and once she has a couple of posts I will add a few affiliate links to it for her. Hopefully, she or should I say I, will be making a little of change with that one now.

That's It - In a Nutshell...

So, that is the extent of what I have done. Not much I know. But, the month of May will be better. I just had other projects to get accomplished. I am glad about one thing. JeffreyBrown says it a lot, and that this is a work at our own pace business. So, whatever I get accomplished, is a good thing. As long as something is taking place.

What Do I Plan to Get Done in May?

Hopefully, more than I did in April. But, if the last 5 days have been any indication, I may be back saying the same thing again. I really do hope not though.

My plans are to get at least three blog posts/reviews written and finally get my mail campaigns going. I think I was going to do that last month, but it didn't happen yet. I will get to it this month. I have all my training done to get it done. So, now that I am "educated" on it... I think. I should have that accomplished. I have an account with MailChimp at the moment, because I am short of funds to pay for Aweber.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me so that I can bypass any mistakes? Even if I have a few, it'll be something I can learn from. LOL!

I still feel good about having my own business and thankful for all that WA has to offer. I also look forward to seeing the changes to come in the next year and hope that it helps to propel me into a successful future.
