  • THE KEY IS TO WATCH CAREFULLY...BY PICKING ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE BANDS. ROCK STARS DO IT WELL. ALL THEY MARKET ARE THEIR FACES AND THEIR MUSIC...AND IF YOU NOTE HOW THEY'RE DOING IT, YOU'RE 90% OF THE MARKETING WAY THERE.
  • They create their own music from life experience
  • Fans even tell them what the content will be as they email websites and share, "I want this...or that"!
  • They sell tee shirts and gear bags and chotch-keys
  • They sell their time spent with fans
  • They sell their images and trips
  • The promoters handle touring locations, bookings, and interview set-ups

The marketing seems complicated and "bigger than life" but it's not. The same applies to your name, called branding an image. Whenever you appear online, you save your face, put bold content behind your face, and keep your image going strong. Eventually, by taking these very small baby steps at Facebook, Twitter, Google (free Blogger), and website construction, you will begin to obtain creative insights leading you into your own products.


Here is how the Moodies use Twitter to market their concert tours where everything is monetized:

2) Here's the Actual Ad listed below. I am not asking you to run over to the Moodies website and buy tickets. Just notice how simple the ad copy is. Look for the "CTA" ...call to action...which is "Get them on our site!" The link is simple....and "time-stamped" by date for action. The time stamp creates urgency. On the Cruise, they created buyer urgency by creating limited V.I.P. purchases. Was the limited cabin purchase really limited? No. There was a large number of cabins they had to sell. More on that topic a bit later.

4) They're marketing emails to the list...

5) BAM. Business.

6) It sounds simple...but the energy backs the product called the group.

Anything you can energize, you can back yourself. It requires insightful imagination, passion, creativity, and applied effort.

Do you think that a bunch of hires doing all of this work? Yes on gruntwork sales. No with direct marketing. It's Justin Hayward doing prime marketing and the promotions...but he has a staff that assists. That's the hidden secret people don't see. He's always working, always promoting, and always putting himself right in front of audiences. In order to promote his newest CD, "Spirits of the Western Sky", he's planning NYC August 1st to start the CD promotion, moving into the Mid-West...and then moving across the West Coast later this year (as far as I do know).

Always good to know that the big people are doing things the same as the rest of us. Of course they have a head start with name recognition
