My take on using Social Media.

Social media is about building relationships. SM is at the top of the sales funnel. If people like what you have to say they will follow you. You will not make sales from social media, but you may have followers who are interested in what you are doing.

Give valuable information. Limit a sales pitch to no more than 1 out of 5 posts. I share my new pages and posts on my business page. I post links to valuable information on my business page. I make notes about interesting things I am doing on my personal page.

Social media is an important part of my outreach. But, donʻt let it suck up a lot of time. I limit my social media activities to half an hour a day. I respond to comments. I ask people to share. I establish a personal relationship with followers who comment or share my posts as quickly as possible.

I ask for micro-commitments.

Offer an ebook in you niche. Then take them to a landing page that describes your offer and asks them to give you their email so you can send them the book. Make sure their email is recorded in your optin list and have your autoresponder send them the eBook. The autoresponder then continues to send them emails giving them important information relevant to your niche.

Your top priority has to be talking with people and showing them what you do. That is the bottom of the sales funnel. Talking to people is where you make your money. Finding the people to talk to is at the top of the sales funnel and social media can be an important tool to find people who are interested in what you offer.
