Do you have a slow computer? If you can't load some internet files. or your computer is acting strangely, suspect a virus.

My computer, a Mac laptop, was suddenly very slow and some URLs it couldn't find atll. I ran CleanMyMac and it picked up a malware calle "PUA Advanced Mac Cleaner." It is a program originating in India that is designed to installl a bunch of bad stuff.

I've used CleanMyMac for years. It is a monthly routine. It has a lot of capabilisties but the one I use most is its cleanup feature which removes un-need files. It has revoved many gigabytes of un-needed files and has never made a mistake. In this case, It caught and removed this malware. CleanMyMake is not virus protection but it is good at removing malware that may have slipped by your virus protection.

Apple works hard to secure its computers. but if you think you Mac is protected from
viruses bedause it is an Apple product think again. When Apple was a small company it's proprietory OS meant it wasn't a target of hackers. No more! Apple is a popular target and virus protection is just as import as it is for PCs.
