Week in Review

Okay, here we are..the fifth day of the new year and I would like to let you guys know some of the things I'm up too. I recently released a blog post where I seemed discouraged about getting traffic to my site. Now I can say with a couple tools I do now see some unique visitor traffic and a couple return visitors to my webpage. I haven't been able to respond to the community as of late because I have been polishing and adding content.

I made a promise to myself to keep this up and not quit. I will be releasing a new website soon..doing some keyword research on more niches I like to blog about. I ran into a issue with linkshare earlier this week because I was trying to get a affiliate program approved through them and I began to get impatient with only one other video entertainment related program in mind.

That's where WA comes in...I have a problem I come here for anything pertaining to marketing. Kyle sent out the Vegas in 15' announcement and I came here to find my tracking ID with no luck at all still. The system continued to say I was entering illegal characters! I started to pulling my hair out...

I been working so hard and putting so many hours into this that It has consumed me a bit to where I'm trying too hard and expecting results to early. So I say here WA family I'm going to start my week at my full-time job tomorrow . I will be checking in but I have 36 hours jammed into three days ahead of me and its soooo cold outside, I'd rather be warm in front of my laptop building more for my site.

Sorry If I bored or lost anyone..Just wanted to give you my week in review. 11 days with WA and I'm in love..

Tell me what you think...

Hey Justin, it is obvious that you put a lot of work into this site and I can see the potential. Keep it up. I know it will be a challenge juggling a full time job and building your online business, but stay focused and keep your eye on the prize.

WA has a lot to offer and the community here is to help. It's great that you're already seeking help and have a desire to not quit.

I don't have much advice, but I will say that writing content with the reader in mind is going to help you out a lot. For example, you have a segment about "What to look for when buying". I found that really helpful. Find problems that people may have and then give them the solution.

i.e.
best HD TVs for small rooms
HD TV placement

I dunno, stuff like that, lol.

Best Wishes :)

Well thank you for your input I appreciate it all..I wish someone had a site about WA addiction because I got a bad case of it..Can't put it down..

Hi, thank you for the follow. Happy new year to you too.

Hi Justin. You've obviously put in a huge amount of work on your site. Here are some things you may want to think about

1.Home page - large picture at the top - serves no useful purpose at the current time except to take up room and force people to scroll down. I would get rid of it.

2. Images - they need to be of good quality, relevant and you ought to add useful captions to them to help draw people to read the rest of your content. You need to decide on some consistent sizes and stick to them. Yours are a bit all over the place and spoil the look of the content.

3.Content: Be aware that you need to offer content that offers value to your readers. I would check some of your posts eg. Remember Those Days - CRT Television. It doesn't feel like a complete article because it just doesn't say enough - nothing about the channels you could receive, picture quality, what programmes you may have watched. How are readers supposed to engage with you if you offer so little?

Also - you need to edit the headline of this article and move the question mark to the end. It looks all mess with question mark and dash next to each other.

4. Comments: You need to stop using the phrase your currently doing. It won't get you any comments outside of WA people. "If you have any questions about this post please leave them below, and I will be sure to get back to you in a timely fashion". The chances of them having a question is virtually zilch. You have to be far more creative in inviting comments. On the Remember Those Days - CRT Television. you could have said something like " What do you remember about CRT Television?"

Hope this helps. Keep building
:)Beverley

Thanks Beverley I will apply these changes asap and then see if it helps. A couple more questions for you..On my home page are you talking about the heading or the background that should be removed?

No the spiral type picture that looks like sound waves.

I also changed the crt article and returned it to draft mode so i can update the info to make it appealing, Also removed the big tv picture on my home page and you where right it looks better already

Your hard work is going to pay off when you can no longer work so much and so hard on your site. Plus, being removed from it a bit, will allow your mind to refresh. Then all sorts of ideas will pop into your head out of no where. Seems as though stepping back brings freshness to the work we are doing. Best of luck.

Sounds like it's been a busy time for you, but things are starting to fall into place. Keep it up and you'll continue to see results. I know it's challenging when you're fitting it in around other things, but at least it's flexible.

See, you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.... Patience is a virtue!!!

I agree mama thank you for the feedback

With time, all things get better…..

appreciate your feedback
