My Identity, MyBrand
I have been looking at all of the accounts I have set up that are associated with my business. Most of my accounts have my website name and/or address stated someplace where most people would see it. I also have actual pictures of myself (though I prefer toon pics :) ) on each profile so people will know who I am. The issue that I keep facing is that my Google accounts are set up under my "email" address which is NOT my name, nor does it in any way represent my business (though I have a photo there also).
So my question is, if you had to give me your best advice, would you change the name on the Google account to my name, or should I list it as pccurrency? I haven't made any YouTube videos..though of course we all have a channel..whether we use it or not. lol
I want it to be as professional as possible, and this issue just keeps bugging me every time I go to my Google +, which is often several times per day...don't like to keep the fam waiting! :) This is how my face looks every time I have to get on my Google +......
I just require a bit of feedback from my crew who are honest and great at voicing their opinions...Yessss..I mean you all! lol I so love the feedback here. I'm even starting to remember names of my friends I speak to most often That says a lot, fam..I'm horrible with names. lol
I think it would be the best idea..to change the name, but which choice should I make? Even once I start posting videos I will be posting under my website name..
I'm also having difficulty deleting that ugly slider off of my page..it irritates me and it's gotta go! But of course non-tech-lady doesn't even remember how she got it there. Oh, bother! (Yes, I said that in Pooh's voice!) I mean, it's ugly! I'd actually rather have ads there. My whole page is nowhere near how I plan for it to look..I know it takes time...it takes me longer because I have to keep repeating steps.

I guess the biggest question is, if I change anything on my Google account, won't that also change my email? That is what 'Franklinpatrice' is...my email address....
So this made me curious about my own Google+ account since I like you do not take full advantage of it as much as I should. I have my name not my business name. I think I am going to leave it that way to put my business on a more personal level. Hope that helps with your decision.
I'm so new to all of this, I really can't say. From your rank and the comments, it seems to me that you are doing an awesome job. Keep it up. I am sure it will all come together.
glad you asked this question. I'm struggling with this too-the google+ login. lol my face mirrors yours when I go to log in. have you reached a conclusion on this?
I'm still stumped! If I change it to my website I guess I can just introduce myself in a video! Any thoughts about what you'll do, KJ?
haha I'm still on the fence about it. Truthfully, I'm a private person by nature so I've been outta my comfort zone with a lot of this stuff.
Me too! And not excited AT ALL about making videos...period! lol I feel like a hermit who has been forced to live in the Big Apple! lol

Hey bidnesslady, if your personality comes through on your website, you will be a winner for sure. You have a way of getting your message across in such a nice way. I am not knowledgeable enough about your problem but my instinct would be to change the name. Hope it works out for you.

What if you create a "business" or "professional" e-mail that redirects to the one you already have? It is easily done on the "Site Rubix" tab. You can create a bunch of e-mails that automatically redirect.
Hmm... Sorry. Read it a little better and saw that your issue is actually with Google+. You can create a Business Page on Google+ within your profile. For instance, I have my personal profile here - https://plus.google.com/u/0/105051439850717443556 and my (business) page here - https://www.google.com/+Gettingtoknowbrazilinpictures01
By the way... Could the page references in Google+ be any clumsier?
