I'm in the midst of my last 2 chemo treatments of 4 total. Since having a lobectomy on one lung in January and radiation on the other in April, my doctor wanted to follow up with a bit of "insurance" with the chemo.
My next PET scan is scheduled for the end of July. Needless to say, I'm hoping for the best and that I'll soon be able to join your ranks as a cancer survivor.
You are in my prayers my friend. As Jim Valvano said: Don't give up, don't ever give up!
Thanks -- Ain't no giving up here. The surgery put me in the hospital for 21 days because my lung wouldn't stop leaking air. It took two weeks at home with a chest tube in place before it finally did seal up. The radiation took 15 treatments with a 100 mile round trip for each one. So far, so good on the chemo. The side effects have been minimal. I've been blessed with the best care that I could have ever imagined.
