Learning the world of marketing on the internet can be hard. If you are completely new and learning the ropes of internet marketing, you may not have heard of some certain terms and strategies.

Email marketing may be one of those strategies. However, we are going to discuss what email marketing is and how you can use it to enhance you affiliate marketing business for future success. Let's dive in!

Email Marketing Overview

You have you website up and running. Traffic is starting to generate and you now have visitors each day reading you content. You make you first sale and are ecstatic. How can we keep this thing going?

There are many entrepreneurs both online and offline that are successful. Pick a handful of them and try to model their success. I know I have a few mentors and they always say, it's easier to keep repeat customers, rather than spend all you time trying to generate new ones.

With the power of email, you have the opportunity to gain customers and keep in contact with them for a lifetime. Picture this. Your website starts to gain traction with traffic. The visitors are coming more often each and every day. Now, you implement a method to capture or receive emails from the people visiting you website.

You now have the ability to build a relationship with those visitors. Those visitors then turn into fans. Once they are fans and you provide enough value, those fans then become paying customers of what ever offer you have.

Content----> Traffic-----> Capture Emails----> Build Relationship---> Visitors into Fans---> Fans Become Loyal Customers!

Email Marketing: Your List is an Asset

Your website that you are working hard at and creating quality content is actually an asset. Think of it as online real-estate. You own the property and it can generate revenue with the option to sell down the road if you wish.

An email list is also an asset. You own the list. The names and emails of you audience, fans, and customers can go with you wherever you go. The ability to build a relationship with hundreds, thousands and even tens of thousands of people can be a powerful thing.

Once you have a list that is compiled of names and emails, leading you list to the purchasing action becomes a tad easier. Think of it this way. You have visitors to you website who read you content and product reviews. Some may sticks around and make a purchase and some may get some info they were looking for and leave.

However, once you begin to build a list with names and emails, you can connect on a more personal, valuable level with you audience. In a sense, you are building another asset.

Email Marketing: Lifetime Customers

When you are developing you email marketing strategies, it is important to remember to provide value. Give away tips and information for free. Build a rapport with you audience. This is not a means to just spam link after link to you list in hopes they buy.

In one of my earlier blog posts, I talked about actually BECOMING A MARKETER. You are ethical. You are genuine. You are a business owner. You provide value. You are indeed a marketer. With email, especially you have the opportunity to create lifetime customers for you online business and brand.

With the right strategies and being authentic with you audience through email, the buying process becomes almost a no brainer. It puts very little if any pressure on you audience when you do recommend a product and service. They like you. They trust you. They value you insight and content. Providing endless value through email to you audience is priceless.

Email Marketing: Wrap up!

You now hopefully have an overview of how email marketing works. I hope you can see the value of how email marketing can transfrom you business.

Building your email list is the same thing as building another asset. It can be taken with you wherever you go in you business journey. While providing endless value to you audience, you have the ability to develop lifetime customers who buy from you affiliate offers or you own products over and over again.
