PIN IT - Again and Again and Again!
I promised to report my findings about Pinterest September 30. I was going to pin every day for a week. So I did that. WELL --- here is the results! As of October 7, I now have 16,784 views! I was going to report after one week, but life got in the way. Also, there is something funny going on with Pinterest. They have not updated my information since October 7th. However, from September 30 to October 7 is a week. I also wanted to post how much it is up since October 7th, but the statistics have not updated. So my statistics are stuck at October 7th. Here is the bottom line: I started working Pinterest on September 17th. At that time, I only had 545 views!. From September 17th to October 7th, my views have gone from 545 to 16,784!! That is a gain of 16,239 views in less than 3 weeks!!! That is also approximately a 3,200% jump!! ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!! I spend about 20 minutes a day creating a pin in Canva, and then I pin it to my boards. And I have not even interacted on Pinterest. That is my next intention.
Again, I am only trying to grow my reach right now. I have heard that it can take about 3 months before things start happening with purchases on Pinterest once you expand your reach. We still have no sales, but I am very hopeful based on these statistics! I will continue to grow my audience. I also have close to 5,000 followers on Facebook. I have not spent any time expanding my reach there. Once I feel more comfortable with Facebook, I will also do a campaign on there to my 5,000 followers.
When Pinterest updates my statistics, I will once again post it. I hope this has been informative to those interested on jumping on the Pinterest bandwagon. We are hopeful that our efforts will be rewarded sometime after the first of the year.

Congratulations!
Brilliant success.
Yes, Pinterest is great for driving traffic to your site.
Wanted to ask, is Pinterest any good for the WA Bootcamp sites?
Thank you.
Alenka
Hi Alenka,
Thank You so much! I do think you could promote WA Bootcamp on Pinterest under "Online Jobs". I think there are actually a few people here that do that. Take Care. P.S. We are going to build a Bootcamp site soon, and I am going to also try to promote it on Pinterest. It will be a couple of months before we do that, though. Oh, actually, it may be next year as the holidays are on their way! Take Care.
Thank you for your reply!
I'll try it then and see how I get on.
Best of luck with the bootcamp site.
This year or next year, whenever you do it, it'll be great!
:)

Excellent! We have just started pinning a few times a week and we have seen an increase too. Looks like we will be following your example this week and see what happens.
Thanks for the info
Give it a try and keep all of us posted! It will be interesting to see who else can get these results with just 20 minutes a day! Take Care.
GrGreat work. Thanks for sharing. With less than a half an hour a dayday for 21 days you went from 500 to almost 17,000 views with nono interplay, no socializing, nothing but a pin. That is amazing. Thanks for devoting yourself for us. Fantastic, glad I'm following you.
Hi Fran,
When you use Canva, they have a specific graphic for Pinterest. When you first open Pinterest, if you go down to the second line of pictures, titled "Social Media Posts" you will see that the 3rd from the left is titled "Pinterest Graphic." If you click on that, it will take you to the creation area with all the Canva layout designs for Pinterest. If you look in the left hand side in the black area, you will see something titled "Uploads". When you click on that, it will take you to a green tab that says "Upload your own images." You click on that, upload your picture, and Canva will put your picture in the block under the green tag. You need to wait for the little black circle with the white arrow (directly under Uploads) to fill up with blue. Once that circle is completely blue, you can then click on it and Canva will put it in the Pinterest box to the right. Once it is in the box, you can expand it to fill as much or as little of the box that you want. Canva automatically sizes it based on how much of it you want to use. I hope this has answered your questions. If you have others, contact me! Take Care.
Thanks so much for the pinterest information. So, do you size your pictures on Canva before you put them on boards? I am still trying to figure out how to do that. Are there instructions on that site somewhere that I haven't found?
