Swans, Ducks and Sinkers - Don't aim to be a sinker!
Swans, Ducklings and Sinkers – Don’t aim to be a sinker.
It’s been twenty-one days since joining Wealthy Affiliate, and lately for some reason, I’ve found my thoughts trailing back to the weekly kindergarten swimming classes.
There were the swans, the naturals that gracefully took to the water like they owned it. Followed by the ducklings, those who had to paddle like crazy to keep their heads from going under, then there were the sinkers, those poor things that usually had an aversion to water and had no intention of willingly leaving the safety of dry land and who the teachers treated as sport, taking great delight in singling out and dropping into the deep-end just to watch them sink straight to the bottom. Whilst the rest looked on in absolute terror, before one of the primary school kids were summoned to jump in and rescue them, usually just in the nick of time before the resuscitation team would be needed. ( I should assure any new parents that it was 1970, and I don’t think their allowed to do that any more)!
Not one of us starts out as expert on anything, most things worth accomplishing take time, effort and perseverance, as life isn’t all about instant success. Success is a process, the more you put into it, the more accomplished you become, mastering things in our own way and at our own time and pace.
·If I was asked, my advice to newbies, would be to read and watch all the lessons thoroughly. It’s not a race, don’t think re-reading is time wasting, as valuable points are usually gleamed with each read.
·Kyle is an excellent lecturer, and the only way you’ll sink in this course is to ignore the lessons and fumble around trying to fast-track by picking the brains of others.
·A point on keyword searching, it has to be wide enough to capture the attention of your intended audience, yet succinct at targeting the intended market niche.
It has been inspirational being part of this truly international class with its spread of ages, backgrounds and occupational skill sets, and encouraging reading the comments of fellow newbies, their confidence increasing as they advance and share their new found knowledge with others.
A big Thank You Nathaniell for leading me here, and an equally big Thank You to Kyle and Carson for creating an accessible, high-quality course that is second to none.
You guys rock!
