Amazon commission?
I recently received a letter from a relative of mine in US CAlifornia telling me that he found my website, He also told me that he purchased online from AMAZON thru my website. I inquired from AMAZON why it didnt register or no notice of commissions. Is any purchase by a relative not counted for commissions in AMAZON? What could be the reason.?

I thought its about the cookies that is only good for 24 hours or so. Or it might be that the buyer has a previous item already in his cart prior to visiting my website and purchased the same item that is already in his cart. Now i understand that immediate relatives wont count. I have remaining 3 months left to be qualified. After that what happens if i dont get referrals.?Will I have another shot.?
Your relative is a customer isn't he and should counts,

I think you are right. Even if there is no commission paid, Amazon still received income from a customer. So it must count as a sale.
I guess I have to ask whether that purchase was done via my Amazon link or it was bought from previous item that was already in the cart. This is one of the disadvantages of being an affiliate. We dont have control of commissions. Sometimes I think selling your own product is better. How about PLRs? What do you think ?
Amazon will typically not pay commissions to any family friends or neighbors. They don't want the sale to be had by you telling your friends I guess. They are very picky. Another reason why a lot of people choose NOT to use Amazon.
If they can connect you personally in any way to the buyer, you get no commission!
How would they ever know of a family member, like my wife who does not live anywhere near me and uses her husbands family name?
I don't know. Somehow they seem to know more than we give them credit for though. There have been other stories here with the same outcome and HOW they know is beyond anyone.
Of course there may be another unknown reason why the commission was not paid outside of this. Who knows! It's Amazon!

No that should be a good commission for you. Just immediate family like wife or husband living in the same house won't count.

Hi Folks, Thanks for all your replies and ideas. For now I am not interested in commissions. I just want to be qualified and need just 1 referral. I got lots of relatives in US and Canada. But if their purchases wont count i'll just have to promote JVZOO products.
