A Word About Ad Blockers And Your Websites
I just want to speak for a moment about Ad Blockers. For anyone who does not know what they are, they are an add-on for web browsers that block ads from being shown on a website.
This is important to know as lots of people use them. It is important to check out your websites with one just to see what happens.
If you have a Wealthy Affiliate banner on your site and you just copied and pasted the html code, then it will not be displayed for any visitor using an ad blocker add-on.
What you need to do to get around this is download the image to your hard drive. Then rename it and upload it to your media library, insert it into your website and then link it to your affiliate url.
I do not know of any workaround for adsense ads.
After installing the add-on into your browser you can activate and deactivate it at will. I would normally keep it turned off. I just use it for checking now and again.
Hope this is useful to someone, especially if you are driving traffic using ppc.

I'm simply speechless - don't know what to say. I spent hours (or was it days) firstly trying to figure out why my WA banners didn't appear and then found the reason about the ad blocker. But it got me thinking what happens if a visitor with ad blocker on visits my site? Then he won't see the banners or ads right? But then I found this discussion and I can't thank you enough when I found that the steps you recommended here work! Sigh of relief....
I just pause my ad blocker when I'm working on my site. The main platform I write on, it's so annoying with 2 or 3 moving ads plus others, so I usually keep it on But here at WA, I simply pause it.
=[ I'll most likely do what you suggested and screenshot that ad and add my affiliate link to it in a little while. Thanks for looking out!
So I just went to do this and realized I'm not sure how to place a photo in my sidebar...like is there a widget for that? I know there's a text one which is what I use to place my ad codes in but there must be one or pictures...right?
This explains it here:

Let me know if you need more help
Probably the easiest way is to setup a post and insert the image and link there. Then just copy it into the text widget.
That should work.
